BUS CONVERSION - Mitsubishi Rosa Demo Part 1 - 14TR.

IT'S HERE!
Part 1 of our bus conversion!
We will be documenting the entire process of converting our Mitsubishi Rosa into a home on wheels, from the first seat being taken out to our maiden voyage!
This series will bring a new episode every fortnight, instead of weekly like our travel vlogs have been. This is purely due to the fact that some of these jobs may take a while longer than expected.
We have been looking forward to this for quite a while, planning for almost a year and it's finally here!
We are completely new to this, neither of us have any trade experience so will be learning as we go.. we will likely make mistakes so please, if you have any advice or recommendations leave them in the comments below!
We hope you enjoy this project and see it through with us, the end result will be amazing.. so don't forget to SUBSCRIBE and hit the NOTIFICATION BELL so you don't miss a thing!
Jeremy, Gillian, Za'Kyia and Jedd.

Just noticed this channel. I did the same things on my 2002 Rosa, which I bought from a mine site for scrap price. I managed to squeeze in a domestic 240 air conditioning system, with the outdoor unit completely hidden from view (it's behind the passenger's rear wheel) Mine had been driving on dirt roads only, around the Laverton area. It was covered in dust inside and out. Yours is very clean compared to mine. The red dirt also made it rust around the rear wheel arches. I welded in new arches that I cut out of a wreck. I would keep all the foam to insulate the roof and walls, they work as good as anything and do not absorb moisture. I kept my conversion very light (made sandwich panels) to be able to drive on a C-license. Including the purchase, I am 40k in now....

Our was CLEAN compared to yours?! Woah.. I can only imagine. We've done all new insulation now, this video is from quite a while ago now. We actually purchased a split system yesterday, would love it if you could send through some photos of where you have put the outdoor unit if possible? Please send them to one4tr@gmail.com we've been thinking of ways to mount it on the back on a slider to it doesn't cover the lights while we drive, but then we can still access the back door when stopped.. would be so keen on a different option! 40K in? It's so easy for the money for add up.. we severely underestimated the total cost.. hahaha. Is it finished now?

We just purchased a 2005 Rosa with a wheel chair hoist installed to do the same thing. Is an auto but due to my disability getting someone to build for us loved you episode 1

Great fun, enjoy. So worth it on the first trip. Plan the floor layout. Make plumbing and electrical easy to get to for repair and upgrades.

Hey Jeremy, great to see someone doing a Rosa. We are thinking of converting one as well. We had an old Winnebago we used in the USA, but due to COVID had to cut short our 9 month trip. So now back home in Oz wanting to do what you are doing with the Rosa. Looking forward to your next video. Do you have a plan on how you are setting up the bus? Cheers Andrew.

Hey Andrew, sorry to hear about your US trip.. hopefully everything goes back to normal soon so we can travel internationally again.. but in the meantime, great news about the Rosa adventure! We do have everything planned out and measured, however everyone says that once you start your layout will change multiple times. 😅

Remember to put a piece of foam rubber over the AC unit straight away because you will bash your head on it a thousand times until its removed.

Hey mate, the bus itself was under $10,000 once we got it from Sydney to QLD. We will be doing a breakdown of all costs involved from purchase to completion once the bus is finished. 😊
