Wow this bus is so quiet that is so different not hearing any engine noises. Very weird. I don’t thing electric buses r that efficient because the battery barely lasts range wise and the actual battery goes bad in like 5 yrs. that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it 😂. Great vids btw love ur channel.

I find each model year of bus has something different to offer. Even though it's the same model, it may have something standard that was optional the year before. The 2018 EB's are quieter and have a wider aisle. The roof top AC seems to cool better too. The next buses will be IC Conventionals I think, my CNG is being replaced with one of those, so interesting times ahead.

My regular route bus for this school year is number 10. I have a video of it in my school bus playlists. But since I am a utility driver my bus gets shared when I drive electrics or work in the office.

That bus is nice! I prefer the diesel T3REs over the electric or CNG ones.

Thanks, unfortunately California is mandating Electric School buses, so that's what we get to drive. Our yard has CNG and electrics and 2 survivor's diesels. Personally I like the old 2 stroke diesels.

@@jonusle2937 Some school districts in Washington have a few electric buses, but in my district, it's all diesels. Our type-A buses are gasoline, and our new 2023 T3s are diesel.

@@snocoelevators nice to see other states are still buying diesels. BB sold our district on how wonderful their electrics were. They blew up that bridge. Our district is currently 100% BB. That changes when our new IC and other brand electrics hit our property. Gonna be some interesting times for sure.

@@jonusle2937 And, electric buses wouldn't work in Monroe because two of the schools are further away from Monroe, and our oldest bus, 51, can go a long time since it has the ISC, and its a spare. Our A3s seem to be reliable, and that is the case with our older T3s.

I drive school bus in Oregon...did you have to get it approved to film on your bus....I'm sure you don't film the kids, we filmed some video's for the bus shop on pre-trip inspections and also kids getting on and off the bus but we had waivers signed to film the kids...I drive a propane bus on my regular route but I love driving the diesel Thomas's they are so smooth and they are like flying an airplane...like floating in air out in front of your front wheels...Great video ...I think I will ask my boss if I can film driving on my route, I have some pretty nice scenery while driving in the country....deer, ducks, geese, cows, some beautiful rivers ect.

District policy is that we cannot photograph students for any reason. My supervisor is aware of and ok with my videos. I show a positive light on our district. I try not to film on our district's individual school properties nor students at bus stops. Where in Oregon? I used to be a manager for a company in Gresham called School Bus Services/Larson Transportation. I visited some parts of Oregon on my monthly trips to Oregon. There are a lot of people that want to re-live riding on a school bus and offer that with my videos. I am not a state instuctor, so I don't do training films. I did one on mirrors because I help a lot of new skoolie (school buses converted into motorhome) owners learn proper mirror setup. I have also owned buses, now down to 1. And done videos on them. A couple of our drivers like my videos on our electric buses. Some were trained on them and went back to driving CNG buses. So they use my videos as a refresher on what's where in the bus.

@@jonusle2937 We drive for Klamath Fall's school district....We did a video for the district on mirror settings also, we also did one for kids ridding on the bus and getting on and off the bus, we had to get the parents to sign a release to film their children...They haven't put the video out yet because they wanted to do the editing on the video we shot and the person doing the editing messed the video up...I have done the editing and sent it to them but the powers at be loved the video but don't want to hurt any feelings....I want to release the video because kids and parents really need to see the proper and safe way to ride a school bus....As you know it is a lot of responsibility keeping the kids safe and everyone needs to be on the same page...

Did you refuel in Santa Monica or run the tank and plug in at the yard when you returned?

I drove my CNG to Santa Monica on Tuesday. Electrics stay local, no more than 25 miles in 1 direction so far. My CNG has the range of about 280 miles.
