El gran mérito de Varg fue crear metal con atmósferas capaces de transmitir sentimientos complejos (nostalgia, melancolía, tristeza) más allá de ser simplemente música melódica o rápida.

Not listening to Burzum in awhile then returning is always incredible.

Mi dicotomía: me gusta mucho Burzum la banda y su música; Varg me cae como una patada en el estómago y eso es lo que me provoca darle.

Me inmaterializo y lentamente me dirijo hacía lo desconocido en una búsqueda del conocimiento astral !!!!

Lo impresionante de todo es lo que hay detras de Burzum. Si escuchas bien este tema, junto con los 4 primeros albumnes de Burzum, es impresionante la enorme influencia de diversos generos musicales que fluyen aca. Es innegable que hay una fuerte carga de rock progresivo (el uso de teclado, melodias largas y diversas), metal clasico, trash y hasta me animaria decir musica clasica ( el tercer disco de Burzum lo demuestra, ya que es el mas progresivo y elaborado en termino de musicalizacion). Esto es lo que hace a Burzum muy superior a otras bandas de Black, la profunda tecnicidad de Varg va mas alla de la musica, es arte puro. Yo no soy fan del black metal en general (Salvo Inmortal, Satyricon y alguna otra) pero Burzum esta aparte, ninguna otra del genero que se le pueda asimilar.

Am I the only that finds this song to be oddly cheerful sounding? The main riff and the riff during the verse is just ridiculous! I'm not complaining, I like the song, but I find it unbelievable that noone else has pointed this out.

Some of it is in the major scale but it's still grim as fuck. EDIT: This still has to be one of the most epic/uplifting Burzum songs.
