BURTON "THE PROCESS" (2003)

Спорт

Disclaimer: I've had some people ask me about all of the videos I edited during my time at Burton in the early 2000's and I recently came across a drive that has pretty much all of the original files on it.
So, I'm going to post them in their entirety and see what happens. Someone will probably try and take them down, but hopefully not. Maybe I'll throw in some fun facts along the way. (And don't kill me if I get the dates wrong...it's all a blur.)
"The Process" was the second full length promo video we did for Burton, coming the year after "Good Times". This was the first of the Process trilogy that I completed while I was there. Sort of a bittersweet year as we lost both Craig Kelly and Jeff Anderson, so it was cool that we got to do little tributes to both of them in this video.
Note: KZread blocked the song in Jussi's part...It was "Rio" by Duran Duran.
Fun facts:
-"Process" refers to the Burton logo, which was called the "process logo".
-That TV sculpture at the beginning is real, but I comped all of the commercials onto the screens. It was every Burton commercial I could get my hands on and digitize (easier said than done back then with everything floating around on Betacam tapes).
-I left the Syndicate slate at the beginning because I didn't want to waste time making a new master file. :)
Enjoy!

Thank you So much for this. I worked at a shop on the East Coast and got a copy as a promo, and my Jeff Anderson Uninc to match. Was my talisman. I was a superfan, I havent seen this film since 2004, 2006, but Craig and Terje’s part, the opener with Trouble, stayed with me always brought me to my knees. Corny, but this film was all soul, and served as the blueprint for my lifelong love with snowboarding (along with Shakedown, Lame, Technical Diff, Stand and Deliver). The second process was sick too. That Traffic score was dope. You worked on this? 👏🏽. Still have this film, the catalogs , and the memories. Straight vibe, all soul, masterfully edited and scored. -This was , as I saw it , the superteam days. The Forum 8 was poignant and hype as hell, but in my opinion this was Burton at its finest. RIP Jeffy, RIP Craig, RIP Jake, RIP Marko. My heart breaks less for the loving memories of grom days , but more for these masters. Rest in Power boys. From 🇳🇴 with ❤️.

Did you happen to work on or have a copy of Burton film called Bomb Video 1 , it had a robot on the cover and I remember the vhs was made of styrofoam!

Remember it, but I did not work on it. Came out right before I started there. Those got trashed pretty easily because of the styrofoam...the copy I had got chewed in the player.
