Great video..plz man make video about rent for international students with low budget

Thanks for this video. Great to see the campus from your viewpoint. I'd like to see the dining hall/s or any eating areas on campus, if you haven't already done a video including that. Do Burton's Pond residents buy meal plans too?

You're welcome! Sorry for the late reply. Yes, there are dining halls, although not for Burton's Pond apartments. There's a campus "food court" on the bridge from the university clock tower to the university center (UC), where there are stalls to buy food items and snacks from. There are dining halls for students living in the Paton College residences. And no, Burton's Pond residents don't have the option for any meal plans. So we need to cook our own food.

Could you show us around what kind of houses an international student rent nearby the university ? And the costs ? Low end ,mid and moderately high.

Yeah, sure! I'd need to find some time first 😅 My weekly schedule is tightly packed, so I'm currently very busy with jobs and other activities. Will keep that in mind and try to deliver a video based on that topic. 👍

Bhaiya can I rent rooms only for one month in dorm or I need to pay for each semester altogether. As it is vey difficult to rent room after landing at St John's.

No, sadly you have to pay for each semester (about CA$2407). And in-between semesters (if you plan on staying for more than one semester), you'll be charged at a rate of $19 per day.

I will be flying to St. Johns on 9th of June Inn Shaa Allah, Can you give me some information or a link to the information about the private rooms in dorms? With or Without food the cost and all other expenses and how to book them. Thanks

I'm really sorry I couldn't reply to you before your flight. 😢 Anyways, for the private rooms in "dorms", you mean the Paton College residences, right? They're referred to as 'single rooms'. For the upcoming Fall 2022 semester, all the single rooms have already been booked, sadly. Here's where you can find further info : www.mun.ca/residences/buildings/paton-college/

does the apartment come with the fridge, oven, and microwave

Fridge, stove and the roaster built into the stove. But not the microwave (we had to buy it; usually costs around $40 CAD)

Hey there! Well, currently there's an economic crisis in Canada about inflation and rising living costs. So I cannot state it directly. Assume you need around $1000 per month for rent + food + bus fares. Living on-campus with Burton's Pond does NOT include the meal plans. And the rent itself is about $800 a month if you calculate it. You're paying for 12 weeks (3 months) and not exactly 4 months as you'd expect. ☹☹ Living off-campus is a bit cheaper, but you have to find a house within $500 - $600 per month.

(any shared room can be found there?)

@@no_name6876 Yes. Currently I am living off-campus. This video you commented on is a bit old. Sure, I'll try to make a vid about offcampus housing. Meanwhile, I can say that "yes", you can find such houses. But it's a bit rare. And requires some planning. For example, if you find a 3-room house for $1200 per month with all utilities included, then if you invite 2 other people there, each person will only need to pay $400. Like this, you can get lower rents.

Sorry for a late reply. For on-campus residence, there is no reduced cost for sharing accommodations. All rent is individual. For off-campus housing, it depends according to the landlord's decision.

The MUN website states that it costs about $2408 per semester. Each semester is about 12 weeks. So... 3 months. Per month, that would be about $800.

Well, it depends on what your aim is. If you want the cheaper option, I would recommend finding an off-campus residence. If you want more benefits and a close location to the university campus, then the on-campus residences would be optimal.
