Hoot, hoot, hooray! Our work to preserve the Western burrowing owl continues as 24 owls raised at the Safari Park were transferred to a pre-release habitat to prepare for their introduction to the wild. Tribal elder Johnny Bear Contreras of the San Pasqual Band held a blessing of the owls for the occasion.
