there was actually a comment somewhere on a video about burning implying that sonic does not sing, but actually a toothless version of genesys. the song was also supposed to be started at random by a jumpscare from genesys while trying to access a freeplay song, and once finished would unlock in freeplay (INFORMATION WAS SOURCED FROM A REVIE QNA.)

From what i heard this is based off vinesauce sonc corruption video.but since marble zone has a lot of lava it could also be sonic got burned badly.well in the old genesis games that was a burned sonic sprite that never got used.it reminds me of that even though it might not be based on that.

Well i can expland why sonic is burned.in the old sonic genesis games there was a burned sonic sprite that never got used.i think knuckles also had one.but i guess in this pasta sonic got burned in marble zone to a bad degree.

So its based off a vinesauce corruption stream where a glitched version of eggman beats sonic and the words ‘sonic has passed’ appear on the screen. In the story, imagine it like instead of sonic.exe its eggman.exe. And in marble zone this eggman.exe, called genysys, burns sonic and controls his mind into serving him .

That isnt the lore. This is. The Lore of these characters Is The Eggman Seen Here Is Named Genesys. An Entity That Has One Goal. Kicking the player from the game/stopping them from beating it. They will go to insane measures to Do this. So far as to Killing sonic. And due to this sonic was saved By his speed But is Always in Agonizing Pain and is VERY unstable. In The lore however Due to Genesys And sonic constantly fighting. The Player Cannot Get Past Marble zone. So Sonic is always Burned.
