I’ve never heard of burn away cake so this was quite lovely and mesmerizing for my fresh eyes!

I think the burn away cakes are still trendy and not out of date yet! Keep on them! They're soooo cool! This cake turned out gorgeous and the pearls and sparkle TOTALLY accentuated Cinderella's final look! A complete package! Marvelous!!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🤗🤗🤗🤗

@@deeb6270I wish people would stop acting like TikTok microtrends mean anything off of TikTok. I haven’t heard of this before. This video is from two weeks ago. According to this video, the trend was popular a month ago. For how long? What is the trend cycle for TikTok? Minutes? (Other answers: looking up at the sun and sneezing, the time it takes to breathe, one cycle of taking your phone into the kitchen from the living room.) TikTok cycles don’t make the world go round. Anyway it was a beautiful cake and a fun idea.

I am gonna be in my early thirties this year and still, would be thrilled for a cake like this. It is fabulous

I really love this cake, it's classy, but very creative, the style, the color was perfect, the burn away effect was awesome.

I think it turned out great! 💛 A second layer of frosting on the border before the wafer paper image might help, so there’s more room and the image below isn’t too close.

The concept has been around for a while, unfortunately you're going to get a ring of charred paper under the icing border and it's all going to taste a little burnt where it's touched. I saw someone recommend putting the burn-away section off the actual cake, as well as using flash paper since it burns fast and doesn't leave those little black bits.

Wafer(?)paper burns quite slowly, while flash paper can make quite a large flash of flame, and the top of the cake (mostly the icing on top) has to be scraped off because it will have a burnt taste to it. These look good on videos, but are generally impractical and/or dangerous if done irl at a celebration.

Definitely!!! Could do her original dress with two layers below it transitioning from original to blue and pink, or for grins and giggles a mash up of blue and pink (the fairies throwing the different colors at the same time).

As a fellow baker I absolutely love this cake from start to finish and the burn away transformation was incredible and beautiful. You've got an amazing talent. Your masterpiece just so happens to be delicious and fun to burn every kids dream cake lol 🎉🎉 and the edible glitter was a genius touch making it sparkle like the fairy tales
