That's the Bennington Monument at the beginning. Not in Burlington.

Burlington is a great city, but that first shot of the monument is from Bennington at the other end of the state.

Moved to Burlington twice..from Phoenix, AZ. Would have never left B-town but when family needs you, you hightail your way back home. Miss VT daily. Looking forward to making VT my home again in the near future. XO

Burlington doesn't have an Eastern shore. It faces West. The Bike path was The Rutland Railroad... not the Central Vermont.

2:06 Correction. The Island Line trail was NOT part of the Central Vermont at all. The Island Line was Rutland Railroad trackage that Ran from Burlington to Alburgh then over to Rouses Point NY to connect with the line to Ogdensburg NY. The line was in operation from the late 1800s to 1961 and a final equipment move in 1964 with the newly formed Vermont Railway. The only part of the Island line that was duel CV-RUT operations was the Rouses Point crossing where a gauntlet track was in place over the trestle.

@@marwar819 what I mean, is that many of the people in the Burlington aren’t rich. Sure lots of offices downtown and the big houses around the multitude of college campuses. But just north of the downtown is the rougher part of town. The old North end. Especially around North st. Not too mention all of the homeless people because it is true that the greater Burlington area is an expensive place to live. Get outside of Chittenden county and things start to change.

Back in the Bernie Sanders days the small city was in the top best in the nation, statically. Vermont state still is often in the top 10 [top 5] with analysis that includes sever parameters. NH, Maine, Mass., Colorado, Virginia and Minnesota are top contenders as well.
