I remember shopping at that Strawbridges with my parents and Petal always being a highlight of the going to that mall. It is so sad to see what Moonbeam allowed to happen to it, even for slumlords they seem particularly bad. It is great to know Petal was saved and will hopefully, once restored, continue to bring joy and spark the imaginations, as she always did mine, of many other kids in the years to come.

Glad to see this video again. I noticed that the directory had the names covered up with white out or a sticker. Typical Moonbeam property.

I threw so many pennies under that elephant from 5-10 years old, so many memories, and many wishes. Thankfully those wishes came true, I'm living off my music and 20,000 monthly loyal people on my spotify giving millions of plays that are monetized. I will either, A. buy that elephant statue, or B, have it replicated, or preserved if it's the last thing I do with my royalties. I WILL not let that incredible piece of art that has impacted my life so greatly go to waste.

Zeno Frudakis, the artist of the sculpture, stepped in to restore and remove Petal the Elephant. It currently sits in storage. It was planned to be preserved and erected at the Burlington waterfront but these plans have been put on ice for now.

Hi. Just subbed to the channel. I just found it through one of my subscribers. I'm based here in Illinois and have been filming retail since May of 2018. I love the old school look to the mall with the red floor. That Macy's looked really nice. Too bad moonbeam had to run this into the ground. That seems to be the cuss word in this community. Great video.

Sadly this mall is currently being torn down...

I remember going here for cheerleading class when it was over I would always go get a pretzel and drink afterwards good times

I spent many years at this mall. My kids grew up walking in the mall. So sad to see it’s demise. I have many wonderful memories here. I wish I could go back, even for a while. 💔

I spent a gang of money here!!!! And met sooooooooo many jawns from Boro & Burlington!!! Us Philly dudes loved this mall

Was the mall dangerous? Huge gang fight in 2007 my friend mom took us there a few times in the 90s I remember that elephant

Lol. I played X-men vs sf at that arcade also, it was around 1997 I believe. The arcade was named tilt, then later they changed the name to recess. Good times though. I used to use gambit and dhalsim lol.

LG I live in the mount holly area and only went there for Sears Jc penny an food

I miss this mall. Went to Sears the last day they were open and stared at the mall through the locked doors and wanted to be able to take one last walk through the mall. Sadly, I could not get in to do so.

Even when I was 5 or so, me and my dad went here, I thought this place was crappy.

Completely demolished last year. Good memories, but it was time to move on.

​@jcherrera104 sorry I'm now seeing this comment. I went to visit my Grandmother around in May 2023 when I drove out that way it looked like part of the Land was a Warehouse Company being Built on the old Strawbridge & Clothier Parking Lot used to be.

Unfortunately it could not outshine the “ moonbeam “.

If haven't closed then would have once covid hit

The blacks had a huge riot there about ten years ago. It went straight to hell after that. It no longer exists at all. Sad.
