Maybe watching alone for the first time is good, but I really want to watch it with someone, if that person has never watched it and knows nothing about GoT. That would be fun, I mean watching Ned's execution, Red Wedding, Hold the Door, For the Watch and other scenes with someone who has never seen them, and watching their reaction. Only may be the song "Jenny from the oldstones" ( which is like a testimony to the viewers that they are gonna be sad because of their favourite show getting ruined). Though for me Winds of winter is like the end of GOT. Also i didn't liked season 7. It wasn't good. But it wasn't as awful as season 8. Its still watchable. Spoils of war was good episode. Even Knight king breaking the wall was great. So yah i can assume the knight king killed them all and sat on the iron throne.

Same! All the joy I was supposed to feel for the death of the HS was just overshadowed by Margaery's fate. I think it was kind of unfair how she died even though she was smart enough to notice Cersei's plan. Usually when people die in the show is due to a wrong move, but she stayed clever until the end and it sucks because it was a being in the wrong place at the wrong time kind of situation.

I think the cheering was more for the High Sparrow's demise. I was hoping Margaery would live too and didn't realise it till she died. I had a weird sensation of opposing tugs of emotion for that scene. I love watching a good villain and so love Cersei's scenes, she is selfish, knows what she wants, will go to great lengths to get it and cares for her family. Margaey is the same she just never got her hands as "dirty" as Cersei has. So Margaery is very similar to Cersei this way. I think Margaery was even smarter than Cersei really, she just didn't have the power or ability to see just how low Cersei could sink to get what she wants. I can't imagine Margaery being stupid enough to giving power to someone like the High Sparrow for starters. So that scene was +1 for the demise of the hypocrite High Sparrow and his awful religious police but -1 for the demise of Margaery and Ser Loras.

The entire opening scene of this episode was pure MASTERY. The imagery, the score, the plot. 10/10

Liam Cunningham deserves an award for that scene. You truly feel the emotion he’s letting out. Those short breaths as he’s walking up and sniffling while trying to maintain his composure. It’s truly as if he had actually lost his daughter.

3:17 It’s incredible how at the end of the scene nobody is mad from seeing all those great characters die because it was so nicely done that they could only applaud from that masterpiece scene.

the end of endgame even had a divided reactions from fans too y'know, some agree that it's satisfactory and some thinks that it doesn't really give a 100% satisfaction, but one thing's for sure tho is that its better than the ending of s8's GoT which really left some of the fans reaction to hate D&D because of "horrible scriptwriting" which resulted to rushed ending...but it be like that sometimes I guess.

Margery was brilliant. She was extremely intelligent (i mean just look at this episode, she saw through Cercei's plan and tried to save everyone, but they wouldn't let her) and a master of manipulation who did everything she could in order to gain power. I mean, she had both Joffrey and Tommen in her hand, was beloved by the people. She never actively harmed anyone on her was to the throne. She just didn't care when it happend around her (like when Renly was killed) because these people were tools for her. Everyone but Loras. Also she never was openly hateful to anyone as Cercei was, which is why I think many underestimated her. It made her ascent to power easier for her. I always would have claimed that Margery was better at playing the game of thrones than Cercei was, but I guess the outcome proves me wrong.

Velvane No that's not true. She did care for what happened around her. She cared for tyion for example when Jofrey bullied him at the wedding, and I think matgery cared for Renly, especially since it was her brother's lover.

Lena is amazing. Of course people are cheering. That was a huge fucking play on the part of the villain. Sometimes you need to appreciate ALL of the characters regardless of their moral compass and what they bring to the world in the show. Relax everyone. Take a breather and try having fun for once instead of sitting in the comments and whining that you can't have as much fun as others lmao.

Buddy of mine didn't realize til the NEXT day. He was so excited the High Sparrow died, then called me "WTF NATALIE DORMER DIED?" I was like 'Uh....yeah?"

I love this crowd. The reaction to Cersei blowing up to Sept is exactly what the cast and crew work so hard for. And as artists, there is a satisfaction in knowing that all their work is deeply. appreciated

And, really, taking out dozens of one's murderous scheming political rivals doesn't really compare with slaughtering thousands of regular citizens who were only in the city to try and find shelter from the war. The same innocents who threw shit on Cersei , cheered Ned Stark's beheading, enjoyed Sandor Clegane's tournaments. I think they got a good cleansing. People had an option to go against Cersei. When a villian does nefarious things that's obviously expected from them. This scene was shot brilliantly, the cinematography, music, pacing and Lena Headey's acting was the reason why everyone cheered for this scene. She's a villian so people know what to expect from her. But Dany was a hero for everyone, in every season she used to lecture people on morality. So when she burned everyone in kings landing people were shocked and betrayed by her actions. So why would anyone cheer for Dany?? People who like Heroes turning into Villians must have cheered for her.

While I don't really have anything against the cheering. I don't really see Tommen's decision to be foolish, I mean he lost everything in one moment. His wife, the people backing him up and even the High Sparrow who he sought guidance from (being manipulated by of course). He was gonna go back to being Cersei's tool and to be honest that's kind of sad.

+HawaiiShirt There was nothing foolish about it. For the first time, he took control of his life, which had been absolutely destroyed by his own mother. The calmness was, I think, the fact that for poor Tommen, death was a relief. There was nothing fucking funny about it.

I'll never forget how incredible the opening scene of this episode was, from the music to the execution to the acting I just...I'm still blown away every time I see it. Literally.

Ever notice that the whole red wedding fiasco and aryas revenge is in perfect symmetry to the rat cook story

Loved seeing everyone’s reaction to the wildfire scene! It’s always been one of my favorites of the series and seeing all the same emotions on everyone’s faces felt like I was watching it for the first time again!

Yeah it kinda disturbed me the amount of overt glee and cheering half the audience had for fairly innocent characters dying. Kinda like bloodthirsty spectators at a roman gladiatorial match.

One of the only times I haven't been on the same page as the crowd during a shocking scene. Any joy I could've felt at the little sparrows roasting was overshadowed by the loss of Margaery, and I was fond of Loras. I can nod at the impressive move she made but I'll never cheer for an action by Cersei.

I had mixed reactions, on one hand I was like "goddam wow Cercei is so diabolical" but Im super bummed about Margery. The Tommen scene just made me sad though (even though he wasnt a great character), as soon as we see him watching from the window I knew what he was gonna do.

Yeah that's what I don't get. Sure, Cersei got her revenge on people who deserved it, but there were dozens of innocents that were slaughtered as well, maybe even hundreds considering how far the wildfire spread. Loras, Margaery, Mace, Kevan... None of them deserved it.

If you go watch something in a public event, one should know it will be noisy, believing otherwise is foolish. That's why I wouldn't go and watch such a popular show, where you have to concentrate on what they are saying with a bunch of random people, because you can't shush everyone, the vibe of the place will just turn bad real quick.

***** In a bar I would think so…Because in a cinema there is the unspoken rule to keep quiet or talk profoundly quieter, in a bar there is no such rule I find. But maybe you might be right it's for the camera also, but if so, that is what they made as normal in the bar. So for someone like us to go there and shush when they cheer, might not know their costumes.

Half the time, I watch these vids for the hot bearded guy at the bar, the one in the white shirt

Theory: at the end of the finale the Stark and Targaryen theme were played at the same time. Dany said she'll marry someone in Westeros to gain some control over certain areas. Jon is King of the north. Jon is her nephew. Targaryens keep the bloodline clean by breeding with family.. J marries D?

+joe They ARE directly related. She's his aunt. Moreover, Jon has absolutely 0 desire to rule the Seven Kingdoms. He barely wanted to 'rule' the Night's Watch after he was stabbed. -.- He belongs in the North, and unless Dany marries him and comes to live in the North (not going to happen), they're better left alone. They can have an alliance without marrying; they're both reasonable people. But either way, one of them's going to die at the end. My bet's on Daenerys.

Theocracy was about to take over Westeros. We all know how horrible theocracies are, so the High Sparrow and all his psychopathic oppressing religious fanatics burning is something to be joyful about. That woman deserved everything that came to her. She tortured innocent people whom were only "guilty" in her own eyes by her own laws. That makes her an oppressor. As for Tommen, I wish he didn't die as he didn't do anything wrong. He was a child manipulated by religious fanatics, as millions are in our world as well, sadly.

I literally cheered when Tommen did that. Not that I think he's a bad character, but I was proud of how he chooses to end his life rather than live with his deranged mother after all that she's done. Plus it was the only way to get back at Cersei at that moment. It made me proud. Although, now that all of her kids are gone, she has nothing left to loose and that makes her even more scarier.

So many familiar faces from ep 1 S2 HOTD, insane that its been 8 years and people are still showing up at this bar to watch this

will never forget how absolutely in shock i was at the sept blowing up
