Great review, Sebastian. I have this one and I enjoy it. I do agree that it is a step up from the EDT. I'm curious as to what seasons you believe are best to wear the EDP. It seems fairly all-season to me, but the heavy patchouli has me hesitant about wearing it when its very hot. What do you think?

Nice one Seba!! If I might say it, I think that the way Francis Kurkdjian blends patchouli it's unique, almost his trade mark-like :) or unique foot print in perfumery.

Everyone says this is Bleu de Chanel or Sauvage from Burberry but what I get, atleast at the opening, is more of something for the Dior Homme guy, with a green twist. Now that is only on scent cards. I didn't care for Dior Homme, I thought I was smelling almost nothing.

Excellent review as usual ! I like Mr. Burberry EDT and I LOVE Mr. Burberry EDP! On my skin it's richer, more complex with slight mature vibe, but very pleasant. To my nose it's a sophisticated one with lovely warm spicy-aromatic character. I'm happy that the lavender note is back in the modern perfume compositions and here the lavender is so smooth and alluring! The magic is in the drydown when Mr. Burberry EDP becomes warm, cozy and a little creamy/sweet. On my skin the amber is soft, but it's there and with the benzoin altogether they give some adorable attractiveness without being sweet or overwhelming. To me, this is not just ordinary designer fragrance... I'm even thinking for the big bottle 150ml :) Sebastian, thank you once again for this honest review and at the end I would like to know your opinion about Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka? Forgive me, if you already have reviewed it...

I'd love to try out Mr. Burberry EDP because I really like the EDT and the added note of patchouli seems like just what the EDT needed to set it apart of the others in its genre. Miami, FL

Burberry is one of my favorite brand. I would love to get the mr. Burberry.

I'm a big fan of Sauvage, and to a lesser extent Bleu de Chanel, but I didn't care for Mr. Burberry. It was okay, but I liked the two aforementioned scents a lot more so this seemed unneeded. I'll try it the next time in out but not holding out much hope. Regard, I enjoyed the review...too notch.

i like the original. i think its great . clean fresh and fragrant. tasteful. dont need too much.

I own a tester of the EDT...really liked the EDP when I smelled it in a store...would upgrade to EDP once my EDT bottle is finished!

Interesting. I got the original Burberry's For Men as a gift back in the 80s but that was the only one I 've had from this house. I think I gave it away together with some old ones which I thought were past their time.

Thanks for your take... I get what you mean.. I have to say though even though this is nothing new or interesting its a decent frag. I thought the dry down was pretty good.. had a nice smell to it... but i only had a small sample to work with..

Smelled this on a relative, sad to say, at a funeral. I've smelled it on paper in Macy's but it didn't appeal to me but I really liked it smelling it on my cousin. Grabbed some carded samples of the edt and edp and definitely liked the edp better. Pennsylvania

I like the first Burberry that they came out with. The note I liked in this new one is Vetiver. FL USA

Was not intrigued by the original, and most designer fragrances leave me far from satisfied, but the patchouli note, while mild, would add.some interest to the proceedings. And there is always a place for a "safe scent," say at work, so would enjoy sampling this release. But I agree wholeheartedly regarding your comment about designer houses, and am looking forward to the private collection that Francis Kurkdjian will helm. Will it be of greater complexity? Never been a fan of patchouli but for a composition from Mr. Kurj. I'll give it a try.

I have a mini bottle of the edt, waiting for my husband to try it and rate it against some other popular men's scents. I do like the airyness of it. I would like to try the edp to compare

EdT version has quite a lot of mint I think so can we say that they are same but EdP amped with patchouli? To me edt is freshier and has bit Le Male wibe in a good and bad way. EdT is better than we can read on reviews IMO.

I just buy it today, I like it but I have the same concerns about it, hope it lasts longer minimally 🙄

Thanks for the review, Sebastian. This is one I have put off trying because I feared it would be too generic, even though I have great respect for Francis Kurkdjian. Turns out I happen to have a sample of Mr. Burberry EDP, and I find the top notes pleasant enough. I don't find the drydown phase interesting, because to me it gives off a standard designer vibe, although perhaps the tarragon seems to linger in the composition to give it some uniqueness. The patchouli is nice. By comparison with Dior Sauvage, although the top notes are different, the Sauvage dry down is more pleasing to me with a larger projection, albeit synthetic.

So after three hours, I go back to the dry downs, and now prefer Mr. Burberry over Dior Sauvage. It's just nicer overall on the skin, whereas Sauvage still projects but has a bit of a sharp fresh note that I'm not a fan of. I don't know what that is, but it's similar to the synthetic fresh ingredient that makes Aqua Amara smell sharp to my nose in an unpleasant way.

Great review Sebastian, two of my favorite notes are patchouli and bergamot, and since patchouli is in here it would be nice to test this out. I went to Dillards this week but it was not there, i'd like to get my nose of this scent before buying. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia btw. I want to win because I'm just started my fragrance journey, and love to collect as much new fragrances as I can.

Only smelled the edt on a magazine insert but I'd like to test EDP.

it's really telling that the best frags this year and last year have come from the house of zara. the established designers have been disappointing. to say the least.

Haven't smelt Mr. Burberry before but from what I've heard it seems to be among the top recent releases. One of my favorite fragrance notes is patchouli so I'd definitely like to win this one. Bridgeport, CT
