Best thing I ever did to my trailer was get new pressure treated wood for the bunks and use Teflon slider pads instead of carpet!! The carpet retains moisture and ruins the wood not to mention makes it harder to load/unload the boat. Also the sliders look better and are super easy to install! They sell them on Amazon and eBay!

Cracked me up the way your “estimate “ length of service went from 50, to 5, then “maybe” one year. Reused carpet...what could it hurt?
