With the current Administration telling Americans to "lower your expectations", this theme song keeps repeating in my head! Every time I hear the gov't spokespeople repeating the phrase, I hear it!! That's the reason I checked KZread for MadTV and found this episode. Miss the great humor!

This is funny but I’m guessing it was Debra’s first time portraying Bunifa. It feels kind of like a tv series pilot episode. You know where the actors are trying out their characters for the first time & working out the kinks. Bunifa evolves into MadTv realness. The strong, comical women on this show like Debra, Stephnie, Mo & Nicole made it great. Michael was arguably the funniest of all the guys. These sketches just never get old to me.

i swear she was one of the funniest characters on that show.

Thanks. I watched that, though it's definitely a very early rendition of Bunifa. I checked it out on Wikipedia. She doesn't have too much in common with the Bunifa of later skits. The hospital skit is in season 1 and the next time she appears is when she goes on a blind date in season 4.

This was too funny. This is going on a t-shirt: "If you like usin' me to get what you want den look in my eye, I will will cut chu deep!!"
