I have a zen moment/headseeker roll and it's great. It doesn't have ricochet rounds or a range masterwork so I'm still focusing on this till i get that roll. Extended barrel, ricochet rounds and a range master work is what I'm after. Mine now has 75 range so it's useable but not 5/5.

one thing alot of people arent talking about is how good the sight on elsies is a translucent sight with a clear red dot its what sights in this game wish they were

Destiny might be the only game where the sights don't bother me much. I kinda wish more guns had straight up irons lol. But I agree, elsie's is real clean. Gun feels good

I managed to get a special edition one with arrowhead break, high caliber rounds, zen moment/under over in the 3rd column, and headseeker/kill clip in the fourth. I could not be happier with it

You can definitely see how much effort goes into editing these videos. That zen moment overlap clip was genius. Really showcases just how good the perk is.

Zen Moment on Elsie's Rifle feels amazing. Almost feels like a lock on... it just pins your reticle right in the enemy's face. I knew it was elite the first time I killed a random hive with it. It definely has the secret sauce, and the fact that it has a considerable stat advantage over The Messenger is wild. Bungie brought the goods with these weapons.

something to note for a desperate measures roll is on a normal melee kill you can get 2 stacks, so melee one person into buffed gun dual :)

I'm intrigued on a warlock PVP build with desperate measures on Elsie's. With either Zen Moment or Over Under.

Zen+Head Seeker already top tier and will have +10 stability next expansion (enhanced perks) which is crazy.

The stock is why the stats are so good though, think about it.

I got a shiny variant with Smallbore/Arrowhead - High call/Ricochet - Under over/Zen - Headseeker/KC. Played one match, fell in love.

My roll; Extended Barrel, R rounds, Zen, HS, with Range masterwork. Can confirm it’s a laser on console

Finally, a Void high impact pulse you don't have to farm Pit of Heresy for and given high impact pulses in the energy slot are EXTREMELY rare altogether (only four in the game's history with Premonition being reissued ages ago after being sunset). Also, thank you for talking up Desperado. I get the bigger appeal of Kill Clip and maybe Desperado could use a slight buff (i.e. the added stability and aim assist from Necrochasm's version of the perk), Desperado can still cook when it's going. Always has for the most part in my experience. Something I recall from another vid when talking about Desperado to consider... "In pve desperado is the only 30% increase in weapon efficiency for legendaries in the game after the kill clip nerf In pvp desperado is the only damage perk that universally shifts ttk's for all archetypes of pulses (not factoring in like taking a single bullet out of a burst like kill clip does. Plus, the forgiveness of desperado is based on correcting for MISSED shots (because you can send a followup burst faster) while kill clip adds forgiveness for just BODYSHOTS Overall desperado has a higher activation requirement, but imo it does add at least something to the table"

I wanted to look it up, and yeah, there's only 4 'second-slot' high-impact pulses in the entire game: Premonition (Pit of Heresy) Stars in Shadow (Crucible, Season 12) Phyllotactic Spiral (Neomona) Elsie's Rifle (Into the Light). One for each Light element. Crazy stat. I'll share another: There's never been an Arc Lightweight Frame sidearm. . . Unless you count the Vinegaroon-2SI with an Arc Damage Mod wayback in the beginning of D2. 😂

I’m loving under over on this thing, void titans literally don’t expect it at range

Also can’t forget that all primary weapons got the flinch reduced by 15% so that combined with zen moment is what’s making all guns feel like it’s no kick on the guns everything is a laser

I never really liked even pre nerf desperado on the messaged or broadsword, but zen moment desperado on this thing made me completely fall in love with desperado, being able to use it to farm kill people as they get res’ed in trials is beautiful, and unlike those other weapons it still feels like I can hit the 2 burst constantly with desperado active

Definitely feeling the fomo with this weapon as a pvp player especially with trials being spec transmat this thing will farm ammo for you. Its so sticky from far out its like It's came with rangefinder intrinsically.

I got a zen moment desperado. It feels so good. I love it in crucible. I loved desperado since it was originally introduced and I used to use the original Redrix in PvE. Desperado is such a good perk imo.

other reviewers didn't even mention the shitty horizontal recoil in their supposed god roll recommendations. CG the goat for weapon reviews bc he actually tests them

I loved seeing the regular version laid on top of Zen moment! It really shows how good it is.

I was insanely lucky the other day with an Elsie's drop - the Shiny dual perk version. Zen/keep away & desperado/headseeker with range MW . Crazy happy! The weakness is barrels, i have chambered to help Recoil, and fullbore as options. Flared or extended mags

Honestly your weapon reviews lately have me re-evaluating rolls on the new brave weapons as well as older guns. I've also started looking at perk combos I might not have considered with the sandbox changes. Also, loving the included recoil patterns and the overlay with the two different reticle patterns is top tier man; keep it up!

Ended up getting extended, ricochet, zen, headseeker. I’ve always loved this gun model since destiny 1 and it is my new favorite crucible dueling weapon tbh. I sometimes switch to the full bore barrel with counterbalance and it feels like it hits more crits than extended sometimes.

Finally have time to go back and watch your vids. I haven’t even had time to take these beasts into the crucible. Good stuff as always man

Mines got Extended Barrel, Flared, Keep Away, Head Seeker, with a Stability Masterwork. It is shiny and I love how it looks, Flared + Keep Away is a crazy combo to look for, genuinely, when Keep Away is active that 75 reload speed suddenly turns into a 100 reload speed and now its a kill chain monster with Desperado (which is my other perk but I prefer Head Seeker for consistency). This thing is gonna be hard to compete with going forward because no other pulse will be like this

It really does just feel different. Also helps that I’ve had the most luck with drops on this. Got the PvE rolls you were talking about. Also for PvP I got Arrowhead Brake/Ricochet Rounds/Zen Moment/Headseeker/Stability Masterwork. An absolute dream to use. Also got Arrowhead Brake (or Hammer Forged)/Ricochet Rounds/Under-Over/Headseeker/Range Masterwork which is perfect to switch to when you have those overshielding teams.

I agree with your assessment. I am solely grinding for "my" god roll version now. So far zen and headseeker is my favorite for a dueling weapon. Just trying to find the best barrel (range and stability) and masterwork for it.

I loved strangers rifle in D1, was one of my most used weapons. Was so excited for Elsie's Rifle and when i heard it was getting zen moment and headseeker i knew it was gonna be able to compete. So happy they brought it back in a good state

Solid video. Really appreciate the overlay of the sites with Zen versus non-zen. It always sucks being on MnK with different recoil feel. I never FEEL the impact of Zen on MnK, and really notice the impact of Keep Away. Would have loved a comparison with Keep Away on this as well as the Zen. Performing the same Sights overlay with crits versus non crits.

Usually pulses are not the best in pve, but when I got my roll with repulsor and frenzy I decided to just give it a try on my void warlock in legend onslaught. I was actually pretty surprised by it! As bad as I thought pulses were in pve, it was somehow worse. It literally could not do damage and even with frenzy+child damage buffs, I was only able to get a couple kills while my team struggled without me.

CoolGuy, my guy. I can't believe that you out of all people missed out on combining Loose Change + Desperate Measures with Athrys's Embrace. I've been having such a blast with that combo these past few days. Try it out, if you get one with those two!

09:24 since i tried my adept messenger with under over desperado just for the fun, and realized that it was melting through guardians, i immediately fell in love with it.

I personally like under over head seeker. I have a zen roll too and it’s great but I use the under over for the fact that I always 2 tap everyone. Even through over shields aside those given by well or bubble

Great video as always. I have about 20 of these but only 4 are good for me. I have Zen / Kill clip, Under-Over/ Kill Clip, Under-Over / Adrenaline Junkie, they are great. But I am still looking for a Smallbore, Ricochet Round, Under-Over (which is a perk you opened my eyes too), and Headseeker. That’s my PvP good roll. I have a Repulsor Brace/ Destabilizing Rounds roll that’s nasty for PvE, I plan on pairing that with Gyrfalcons.

I was really wanting a under-over/kc (or headseeker) roll for this but I wound up getting a holo with Keep Away and a kc/headseeker swap. Ricochet rounds, smallbore and a stability MW. Honestly love it.

I have an old zen/desperado messenger and I really like that combo as it stacks up zen so quick

I'm a believer now. It's magnet-ing shots I don't think it should and it's amazing. and it duels it's just rock solid no flinch at all, it makes me wonder if my Messenger was ever this consistent with the two-taps. This thing is best in slot Hi impact pulse now for the energy slot, AND it pairs with Conditional. People were silly for scoffing at this and it was announced.

I've never been a fan of slow pulse rifles (besides Bygones), even though they are generally my favorite primary weapon type (I prefer rapid-fire usually). Gotta say, Elsie's has blown me away. I found myself using it as a go-to for early Onslaught waves before I swap over to Graviton Lance/Disorienting Grenades. Absolutely SLAPS with volatile rounds, and the rolls are pretty incredible, much like with many of these Brave weapons.

This is the first high-impact pulse to actually catch my interest since I got my Zen + Celerity messenger. I can finally meet the stats of that thing, with zen, AND another perk to care about - headseeker.

BXR is a good example, my current crafted roll is 80 range, 61 Stability, 73 Handling, 65 Reload Speed.

Unfortunately I've been so busy I only got to farm foir Recluse so far, but I can't wait to get and use this one, it was my favourite pulse in D1 and I was so sad it was light level locked... I hope your health is holding up okay, do take care of yourself you hear? o/

I've tried pretty much every roll and keep away head seeker feels amazing. Smallbore ricochet and your good.

In pve I proc V-rounds on every void build. The fact that Brave weapons all give Light subclasses grenade energy is awesome. So Elsie's and Recluse will help you get back thst grenade you just tossed to proc V rounds. Pair with a Vortex grenade and explode groups of enemies. No need for D-rounds. Go ahead and take a damage perk

I got a zen frenzy shiny as my first drop from the 10 wave onslaught after I unlocked Elsie's and it is glued to my hand, it shreds and its impossible to miss with the thing absolutely a dream!

I got a curated roll with a couple good pve perks and Zen Moment/Headseeker for PvP. Combined with High Caliber rounds and smallbore for some extra range and stability and it was tearing things up today. Clean sights, feels great to use for me and could two burst better than any pulse I've used before thanks to Zen Moment helping control that recoil, even without arrowhead (also 72 stability thanks to MW). I play on PC, so its definitely not just a controller perk anymore. It's a beast.

I’ve gotten multiple really solid rolls but still chasing that Zen moment, Headseeker, Ricochet, Small bore/Arrowhead, and Range MW. Once I get that roll I’m pairing it with conditional or an smg/sidearm and never taking it off unless I feel like getting some spicy one taps with Hawkmoon.

I got that Over Under Kill Clip roll and holy hell it's so fun. It tears through 6s.

I recently got a roll with Arrowhead, ricochet, range mw, zen moment, and desperado. I haven’t used desperado much but I’ll have to give her a shot !

Very good combo, I was able to get this roll on a shiny version but it had a handling masterwork instead of range.

I've been enjoying Repulsor Brace/Desparate Measures on Void Hunter with Gyrfalcons. Constant overshield and damage increase while clearing trash mobs

My favourite was a keep away headseeker it has 85 stability and 75 range with keep away it feels so good. I like the zen moment one too though just couldn’t get the same stats as my keep away one.

A quirky perk I honestly have my eye on is Loose Change ever since they buffed it to give +20 Aim Assist and 20% reduced ADS speed penalty, basically twice as good as Moving Target but with an activation requirement. And since it's a Void weapon it'll work with Gyrfalcon's with the Volatile Rounds so you should easily have Loose Change active in a duel, probably not as consistent as Zen being up all the time but I feel like it's a gimmick combo worth keeping in consideration.

If you are a super min-maxer then it's worth noting the Under-Over roll. If anti-barrier pulse ever comes back it would be the best void option with Frenzy for champ stunning. Pretty niche end-game use case but uh, being best-in-class at something is worth a mention I think

I got Corkscrew/Ricochet rounds/Zen moment/Headseeker w/ range mw. 80 range and 70 stability (80 once both perks are enhanced). It feels so good.

I've kept an Underover/KC roll and a Zen/Desperado roll. I plan on trying them both tonight!

Funny, I have head seeker/zen/kill clip/ under-over all on the same gun . VERY smooth

My first shiny drop day 1 of Into the Light was the Zen/Seeker roll of this gun and i could tell immediately that it was special

I got a double perk with zen headseeker and under-over kill clip. My barrel and masterwork weren’t my top picks but I did get arrowhead

There is a trade off for all those stats though. Of the high impacts you showed, its the only one woth a lower zoom at 17, so there is still a cost, but it seems to be worth the tradeoff

Ended up getting a shiny yesterday with zen and underover in the 3rd and headseeker and desperado in the 4th along with riccochet and high cal as the mag options.... might be my luckiest drop to date

This isn’t the only Pulse Rifle with Zen Moment + Headseeker. You reviewed Syncopation when Witch Queen launched, and that was before both perks got their buffs. I would like a re-review of that weapon since it can get ENHANCED PERKS. I for one use it that Stasis Pulse Rifle so much and love using it. 4:30

This is for sure my favourite high impact legendary in pve and pvp. For pve I fell in love with repulsor brace and destebalizing rounds, it just wipes everything. For pvp it just feels great, and if it feels great I do well.

My first adept was Messenger with Headseeker/Zen Moment. Awful roll when it dropped, but it’s become a monster in recent times. Got the same roll on Elsie’s and it’s insane, I’m not even a pulse rifle person outside of BxR.

I have a few rolls but the one I have t used is under over w/ head seeker, arrow head break, high cal, w/ reload MW

I got smallbore ricochet rounds range masterwork zen moment and headseeker on mine. Even without the enhanced perks it’s a beast in pvp. Once the perks get enhanced though ufff this is gonna be good

I have keep away and headseeker with a stability masterwork which im happy about so my range and stability are the same when keep away is active

Hunting that zen + headseeker roll, but got an under over + headseeker that has put in work so far.

This weapon is the secret meta right now, and I’m going to continue to abuse it in this new sandbox.

I got the smallbore, ricochet rounds, zen, headseeker, and range roll. Oh when I just play a little further back it’s juicy

Right now I prefer my arrowhead break, highcal, zen moment, headseaker roll since the only maps that my 68 range are the two witch queen maps. I consider this to be as good as a psy hermetic god roll at base and is more accessible. The only thing I'd be curious to know is if we can enhance both perks in a column. I'll probably get a few weapons with good pve and PVP perk sets on the same weapon, like my recluse.
