Thanks for joining me on the channel, I hope you enjoy & find it useful. Accidents happen, and this Nissan Juke got a little bit too close to the garage door frame than its owner intended. I’m pleased with the improvement, but think they’ll be a part 2 for this with paint…
I look forward to your comments & please subscribe.

Great job. Very straightforward and detailed/concise. Thank you.
Stellar job. I have a scratch in the black wheel trim plastic on my car; this video was very helpful.
Nice exactly what I was looking for thx! Weekend projects!
The products you used I have not heard of! It would help viewers if you could suggest where one can purchase these products! I tuned onto your blog as I have a minor scuff on my wing! Great how you removed most of the damage, yet your blog never lived up to what you stated in repairing scuffs without the use of paint!
Nice work great video. Thank you for sharing.
Nice job lad great improvement👍😊
brill ! saved me a lot of money on professional repair..
Very useful - thanks!
Thank You! Be Blessed!
I did something similar in my 2003 CRV. Trying to pull into a parking space and not hit a £120k Range Rover, sadly I just touched the brick wall and it looks the same as your damage. I have a colour match touch up paint for the bad areas but may need lower grade wet/dry sanding paper as I only have 1200 and 2000 grit. When I wash my car I use Aito Glym plastic and bumper gel which should work just as good after sanding the black plastic
Regarding plastic trim a trick ive used in the past to remove marks, use a heat gun on a low to medium heat you will be amazed to see the " grey scuffed" plastic change to black again

Does it go back to old form later on or it lasts and looks black for long time? Does it last at least for a year? I have small scratch on my cars plastic trim and I want to get rid of it by using sanding and heating. Thanks in advance for your answer.

@Tech? I am not sure.. as far as im aware its pretty good and hard wearing sanding lifts the plastic

@@DilavarHuseynzade hi, i know its almost a year, but in the future never do what the boomer above told. Heating the plastic trims coocks the oils on it, and it will look gorgeous for a while but the damage is now done. It will fade, it will be MUCH WORSE and the plastic gets really soft (easy to brake). Use products (liquids) to bring back the shine or paint it, but never detroy it by melting it.
Not bad at all! I hit my 4runners fender flares on a concrete wall coming out of my garage and was looking for a way to fix the scratches I got. This may work very well for my application as the material is much like the jukes fender flares all along the bottom

Hi did you give this a go, if so how did it go. Thinking of giving it a try myself

@@ShroomJ It worked pretty good in my case but my car has a different kind of plastic for the fender flares and bumpers so your results may vary. mine are not painted just clear coated

@@JonLasaga hi, i scratched my bumper badly and I'm thinking this would help alot. But how do I explain then sand paper I need to my sellers?
tip for the trim, if it's plastic. sand it w/ increasing -> fine sand paper, then heat torch it to resurface it. (or use trim restore kit)

Yup I was going to say. Or even hair dryer at high heat low fan speed for those with ought Heat torch or heat gun.
Hi thank you- wasnt clear about the angel wax regenerate. Didnt you need to put paint in first to fill in the deep scratches?
Great video. I could live with that
Nice job!

Thank you!
great inexpensive fix!
As a DIY approach you managed to get a very good result, the majority of pro detailers can charge you easily 300 quid for it and for the same result or slightly better. Now you working on a Nissan which typically have softer clearcoat then let's say a Golf or an Audi, which can make the job a fair bit harder. But still very good job!! You didn't cowboy it like most other DIY-ers on the Tube which I like, used the right tools in the right order. 👌👌
Impressive.
Hi there which sander paper are you using? 500? 🙏🙏🙏
I’ll try your technique on my plastic bumper trim.

Superb. Just start slowly and build up to find the right grit rating that works for you. Good luck!
Have you tried Rubbing compound before using sandpaper?.
Awesome work! Do you mind listing the products you used ?
Good one
You're the best
Actually looks good and i think your paint color number is inside drivers door and a light paint stick touch up on the 2 remaining scratches and good to go😁 but im a dummy so i dunno😁
My bumper looked all smudged after following his advice. Thankfully a fresh coat of clear coat fixed it

I will definitely try this, looks exactly like my motor

Good luck! It definitely makes a big difference but really needs paint to get back to the original finish.

What product you have used for plastic trim repair?
@diydick434
Жыл бұрын
After rubbing it down with various grades of wet & dry it was CarPro Perl to coat it.
2000 wet and dry
The polish will wash off, so you'll have to keep polishing it for the rest of your life. Applying a clear coat would be better.
@francoisbeaudry0892

that's incorrect, polishing is abrasive so you are actually leveling the paint off, just like a sandpaper
Use acetone
i would have replaced that plastic trim. it will de value the car if not done properly at time of sale. plastic trim restore never gets it 100% right. But if that's your budget, better than this example.
But u showed d real
Why didn't you just use WD-40?
@stevonlewis1627

Curious as to what that would do?
Put toothpaste on it
Залипуха.
nope not up to std
Cant you just use that magic polish straight away, skip all the sanding lol
Well that was clickbait. Came for a repair video got nothing.
God is coming back soon pls all repent of your sins
It's not repaired, it's just less visible than before. If it's a leasing car you will pay for when return. So for me it' waste of time.
Maybe if you were to use a piece of paper and not a tiny little piece?? is there a sandpaper shortage?
Looking at that it's been spray (badly) before!!!! You can clearly see the crap quality and runs in the paint as you were sanding...!
So you've left it with highly visible scratches in lol .... not sure what you were trying to achieve here 😅
