This series is a monthly 30min online discussion series on the components of nation building. For societies transitioning out of conflict, the primary focus is often to resuscitate the fabric of the nation, from the state institutions to rebuilding the bonds between the people. The series is issue-centred and focuses primarily on Somalia but examples of countries that have experienced similar conditions may be discussed. Each episode of this series will host a guest discussant and focus on one component crucial for rebuilding a nation. We welcome your feedback and hope you enjoy the series!

I admire hearing from a person like professor samatar but I wonder when we would see our learned men/women in diaspora converting this table talks into bold actions. I think that part of community members engagement in nations building as mentioned make a lot of good sense, let's start working and forming those organisations, I and many others nation loving individuals will voluntarily work.
