I honestly believe this was one of the best wins in the history of Bullseye. Third place contestants winning the car which, back in those days of early Bullseye would have been late 1981, would be worth a lot of money. Even the £130 was probably close to a week's wage in hard times. The look of sheer delight when they won and the car was revealed, ye can't beat that. Brilliant.

Even now in 2021 I would have been more than happy with all these amazing prizes! Thumbs up if you agree

I loved Bullseye on a Sunday night. God bless you Jim and thanks a lot for brightening up my Sunday evenings.

Wow ! a rusty red “ pun intended “ metro , I bet that’s still on someone’s drive getting regular use in lockdown, Obviously, it’s a greenhouse and the rims are all that’s left of the wheels . The rubber tyres were burnt out ( two in the back anyway , with the weight aboard as they were always “ saggy bottoms) on the way home from Central studios, and the two front ones were blown-out by some pesky kids who got hold of the crappy “ Bullseye branded” 🎯 darts . They had to be sharpened to a point , because they were causing two many accidents near the nipples of the winners after being placed in top pocket of the C&A shirts 👕 the men wore , and the beautiful poly-nylon blouses 👚 from Freeman’s catalogue. No “Prim-arni “ 3 snazzy frocks for about £6 in the 1980’s ! . It was all on the “ Never Never “ or Provident credit doorstep Cheque on tick at 300000 % interest on a £50 loan 🤣😂, and the TV 📺 had a bloody box with 50 pence pieces to keep it on ! . If you win a TV , you could have a thriving business with the local druggies and peasants on the rough estates renting out the TV , Washing machine, and even that “ Gold” cutlery 🍴 set was melted down by the winners , they thought it was 9 carat “Gold “at the very least , little did they know that it had about as much real Gold as a dead goldfish 😂🤣. Poor sods , but you’re bloody super, smashing great dear uploader ! . Thank you so much for this “ Kind Sir / Old Son , Lovely Lass / Fine Lady as Jimbow would say 😉💯👏👏👏👏 You have brought back soo many happy memories of a Sunday at the grandparents after a huge Sunday roast , waiting for Heart To Heart , Knightrider , Air Wolf , and Love Boat et al. I hated Last Of The bleeding summer whinnnnee ! , but I remember some fantastic shows after bullseye or even if it was a weekend at the Grandparents as a little boy 👦

My childhood was looking forward to a trip to the supermarket as I could grab some huge cardboard boxes. At home these would be transformed into a Tardis with a set of old curtains and an old telephone..apps were created in our own head (ah the simple beauty of a book)...The levelling up and digital mecca for modern children is boundlessly astonishing in it's polish and algorithms all mimicking heroic aspirations. These aspirations sadly never achieved because they are beyond the threshold of the front door and light years away from the chat rooms of touchscreen warriors..

A time of free speech and the basic right to have an opinion. Jim Bowen asked what is considered now too personal and he would border on offensive to many modern flakes and BBC employees. To me, he personified genuineness, interest in people and the ratings reflected this. Gameshows like this sadly have gone.
