Bullseye Civilian Finale
Ойын-сауық
As mentioned in an opening message by Jim Lange today is the last show to have civilians as contestants. They changed to format to Celebrity Bullseye on the next show until the end of the series. The show starts as Judy continues her bonus game going for spin #4.
I do not own any rights to this show, this is uploaded for entertainment and nostalgic purposes.

Interesting to hear them talk about a video tape recorder as being a really special kind of prize. Several years later, it would be a fixture in nearly every American household.
Switching from regular players to celebrities was a mistake. We always enjoyed having the regular players win prizes and more money instead of watch celebrities not win as much and not do as good with the questions. Some of them where fun to watch like Greg Morris while others weren't as fun. And I felt the same way about other game shows that did that to like Hot Potato, Whew, Beat the Clock and other shows I haven't even thought of yet.

Celebrities never help a struggling show... the thing was... Bullseye wasn't actually struggling. It was doing OK in the ratings and was renewed for a second season. Celebrities made it unwatchable.

@@mitchellries256 It was probably lagging behind the ratings of The Jokers Wild & Tic Tac Dough and most likely had trouble finding enough stations with Family Feud going to 5 times a week. Perhaps they thought viewers would tune in to see stars play. THEY DIDN'T. Adding celebrities doomed the show. I know I stopped watching it and WOR in NY soon pulled it as I am sure the celebrity format turned off most game show fans.

@@mitchellries256 Stupidity, that's why they did it.
There was a time on another game show, Las Vegas Gambit, that Wink Martindale announced in a pop-up square box that this would be the last episode of the series, only it was a repeat of a previous show. This may have also been or the game continued untelevised without anyone knowing the outcome of the game. Who knows??
one thing I like about that first bonus game. Not sure if it was an accident (probably) but the little camera shake when the lightning hit. Would have been a nice effect to use all the time when that happened.
R.I.P. Jim Lange(1932-2014). Jim I enjoy you on Bullseye since I was a little child. Thank you for the great memories!!

That was the lightning window where she lost after one spin since they did not have time to finish the day after the episode. What a loss in her first try, the second try she quit and takes the money and the lightning was blocked below where it was hidden.

Wemkea would also appear on tic tax dough in 1985, she won at least two games. One of her episodes is on KZread, she did lose against the dragon in that episode.

Jim Lange said in the closing that the game in progress was going to continue on the next show. Did it ever finish?

Sadly no.
Wemkea was also a contestant on "Press Your Luck", presumably during the final three months.

It was the Celebrity version of "Bullseye" called "Celebrity Bullseye" and one of the celebrities from TV and movies would play for charity. It wasn't that bad than this one. It's the same strategy as it did in regular "Bullseye".

@@Musicradio77Network No. First of all, they dumbed down the content a LOT. Every question became a multiple choice to make it easier. Second, each game was 2/3 so some shows you never saw the bonus game. Third, it seemed lacking that the bonus was just played for the cash. They should have picked someone in the audience to get a prize package if the celeb won.
love this show

Yup, this was after they were thrown out of NBC studios in Burbank after Richard Klein threw a fit. Ironically the final network show from Barry-Enright would return to NBC and that was Hot Potato (that also went the Celeb Route after a time).

That rotten lightning popped up.
Oh no
Is this the same Wemkea that was a brunette on Tic Tac Dough?Looks very familiar, maybe I'm mistaken.
Were those last contestants transferred to either "The Joker's Wild" or "Tic Tac Dough"?
