Bulls @ Heat 1991-92: Michael Jordan 40/6/8.

Спорт

Outside of the late 80's Cavaliers I don't think MJ owned a team for a season as much as he owned the Heat in 91-92. He averaged 39 ppg in 7 meetings against them. All wins.

This is one of those games where MJ flat out had 6-7 absurd and unique plays the mind couldn't even imagine. Check out how high he gets on the hangtime jumper at 1:01. And the pass-fake layup at 2:00 with that catcher's-mitt-size hand. Great upload.

Thanks for this video - awesome. Did anyone else notice that one hand alley oop dunk at 0:50 is almost identical to the one he did in Miami in the 1996-97 season when he scored 50. Same court, same team, same end, same passer, same backcut, same beautiful dunk.

It would honestly take me AT LEAST 5 hours to get a video like this up, since 2 hours of that would be watching the game and jotting down the time ranges of the clips I wanted.

Many Jordan plays didn't have replays. Today they would be replayed 10 times from different angles. Apparently it's either because they were dumb back then or because these things were so routine for Jordan that only the "best of the best" highlights got replayed. People really have no idea how good this guy was.

Yeah, I have about 120-130 games from 1985-'93, since about 15-20 are the Dream Team games and another ~10-15 are from '95-'98 (games I didn't get off of League Pass or TNT/NBC at the time) or the Wizards years.

The dunk that MJ caught from the Pippen alley-oop pass @ 00:50 looks almost identical to the dunk that MJ threw down in 96-97 against the same team (same place too) when MJ had 50 pts.

About 280-300 all together. I have about 160 on DVD (this includes all the Dream Team games, ~15) and another 120-140 on VHS from the '95-'98 seasons.

If I could get a nice video like this up in < 3 hours, I'd do it. It would take me a lot longer than that. And your tone isn't appreciated, btw. We all appreciate what people like SPMJ and Hoops do for the youtube community.

Yeah, I know they still do it sometimes, but for Jordan they did it a LOT, especially on his breakaway dunks. It's just ridiculous. There's a dunk vs. Laimbeer that I would love to see from the normal game angle, because it looks like he takes off from insane far out judging by where his foot is, but you can't be too sure because they show it from underneath.

Yeah SPMJ, that's the dunk. If you look on the replays, he takes off with his foot OUTSIDE the lane from well beyond the straight line which designates the inside of the dotted circle area. Extend that in a semi-circle to the middle of the lane and you're looking at a FT line dunk in-game OVER and THROUGH someone, which is amazing. Can't believe they ruined it. This must be the only version of it, too, since I saw this on an ESPN special as well.

Great stuff as usual SPMJ. But..where are the replays? A lot of sweet moves deserved a second look

Thanks for uploading this SPMJ. :) Do you have these games on VHS or DVD? If the latter, what program do you use to edit/upload them? The only reason I haven't put more stuff up is because it's incredibly time consuming. Like, to get a video like this up, I'd first have to watch the game and jot down the time ranges of the clips I wanted, then put the DVD in my PC, then open my program and select ONE CLIP AT A TIME to generate the video file from, and then combine all videos via Windows MM.

Is the play around 1:39 the"The fake pass + layup"? I think the play around 1:57 is the following dunk. youtube(dot)com/watch?v=LiBPIY-ALeM

See? I knew your true intentions all along. Please don't try to act like you're smarter than everyone. And yeah, I'm not going to spend 5-7 hours on a 5 minute clip. My compilation video required me to watch dozens of games and jot down times for each play, then swap out the DVD's in my PC etc. and use the program I use (which sucks). Took me AT LEAST 50 hours all told for a < 10 minute compilation video (incl. watching the games). Sorry, but I'm not doing that every week or even every month.

Windows MM (MovieMaker), and then upload to youtube. Needless to say, this is a pain in the ass.

And yet ANOTHER Jordan dunk at 1:30 where they INEXPLICABLY cut to an under-the-basket view and we NEVER get to see the normal game view of the dunk. I mean, seriously, wtf!? This happens in like EVERY Jordan game. Did they think doing this was cool? It's BS. You can't appreciate the play in the same way from that angle.

Don't make insinuations, then. And lol @ "there's no need to be abrasive." Dude, you were sending out profane PM's and posting with vulgar language in every Jordan video for a while. Glass houses, meet stones.
