BULLMASTIFF -A Day In The Life

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In this video I follow the daily routine of my Bullmastiff Tua. Watch and follow us as we eat breakfast, go to the store for socializing, go for walks, play outside, and everything else we did on this day.
This channel was created to track the life of our Bullmastiff Tua.
Videos will be posted to show not only his physical growth, but his behavioral changes, obedience level changes, and our overall experience with the Bullmastiff breed.
This will hopefully help anyone interested in the Bullmastiff breed by showing what to expect at very specific times all throughout a Bullmastiff's life!
Although this will be more specifically about the Bullmastiff breed, the videos should give a very general idea about what to expect at certain ages of many different dog breeds.
Thank you!

I think I have followed all of your video's from the very start, Tua is a great boy, and your videos do help, really appreciate you taking the time to record his life. I don't have a bullmastiff but have always wanted to get one of these breeds. Tua is one of the healthiest looking bullmastiffs I have seen.

Possibly the most handsome dog; ever. Of course I catch the yearly/bi-yearly big, televised dog shows. Wonder how Tua would do in the standards dept. for bullmastiffs. He looks about perfect. Reuben the bulldog is a pretty popular channel. Mike has calenders made every year, where the profits go to his local SPCA, or what ever those places are called.

So interesting, mostly because my life with my Dogue de Bordeaux (same age) is so different: I live alone in a large apartment in southern California, with no backyard. So, we go on many more walks, naturally. But, we go to various parks and forests with walking trails- sometimes to the ocean where dogs are allowed. My question is-- does Tua ever get to play with other dogs? I have sort of avoided dog parks because of the stigma (as well as past experiences with other dogs; they can be problematic, for sure), but recently have started taking my (intact) boy to a local one because he is so social, and loves the interaction-- and it gives him a chance to stretch out and run around. He has done great! So far, so good...he loves playing with other dogs (if he didn't, I really wouldn't bother, lol.) I was wondering if Tua gets to play with other dogs...or if it even matters to him one way or another. Thank you for another interesting video. :)

Thanks for the comment! We have a min pin so he's with her all day everyday. My mom also has a corgi and a dachshund that he sees on occasion. Mostly in the summer. Otherwise every 2-3 weeks we will get him into PetSmart where he sees other dogs but doesn't get to play with them in the store obviously. Other than that we come across other dogs on walks occasionally. I tend to avoid dog parks as well. So to answer your question no he doesn't routinely get to play with other dogs but on occasion he does. He's been great with other dogs to this point

Hi great video. I just cannot believe the similarities in Behavior of your Tua to my Canya(bitch). After my wife and I seperated and I moved out last fall I bought Canya at 3 months of age and she will be turning 1 years old on May 2. But like I said that the simulators to behaviour and routine. However my Canya is a little more attached to me. She is everywhere right beside me, which can be annoying but actually good, because she does not need a leash as we can go anywhere and she is always right with me unless I tell her to go play, then she will leave my side and go play, but never to far from my view. She is also everyone’s friend and wants everyone’s attention except if she thinks someone might be a threat, then she naturally get into a defensive mode. I never even trained her to do all this it just seems natural with the breed. I hat to see if there was a real threat to both of us because then she turns in to a real guardian but still is controllable. This may be for show because it hasn’t escalated to a point where she has had to react, and again something that is natural, she was never trained a defensive mode. All in all, she is the best canine companion that has come into my life. I say all of this because yes I paid for her and brought her into my home but in reality she has adopted me and she picked me right from when I first met her.when I went to pick her up, even though I was a total stranger she came running up to me, at the breeder’s house and wanted my attention and wanted me to pick her up, and the first time that I picked her up my face got soaked with slobbery kisses. I was sold. And that is how our relationship started. By the way I’d like to comment on how handsome Tua is, another beautiful Bull Mastiff, another very misunderstanded breed.

@@bolblizt I started with his regular choker collar almost right away. Probably 12 weeks or so. His prong collar maybe around 6-7 months. I have used those two types of collars on pretty much every dog I have ever owned during training situations. Never had an issue. Many people have problems with them. Think they are cruel, etc. You just use quick firm pops (corrections). Never choking the dog.

@@bolblizt cool! Just remember with the choker collar (chain) to always have the ring that is not connected to the leash on the bottom side. Then when you give a correction, it will release. If the ring is on the top side, when you give a correction, it will hold and not release. You can practice on your arm.

I'm sure he would be. They've actually learned to not get him too riled up. As I've said many times he has knocked them over many times when he gets really fired up so they try not to play too hard. I can get him going pretty easy if I want and he can go crazy for a while 😂 I try not to though. That's a lot of dog to have the zoomies. He will have his days when his energy seems to be high all day but those are becoming less and less
