Oddly enough the high price back then is what interested me in silver….my 1st Oz cost me $44. I only bought 1 because I was a collector back then. It wasn’t until it hit $17 that I started stacking because I remembered what it used to cost.

Blah, blah, blah... How can anyone possibly explain the following, if the silver market were legit? - The average annual spot price of silver in 2011 was $35.12 per ounce. - The average annual spot price of silver in 2012 was $31.15 per ounce. - The average annual spot price of silver in 2023, was $23.40 per ounce. - In the past decade, we have seen the cost of everything SKYROCKET by about 20%, yet SILVER prices DROPPED by over 20% in the same period of time?

Right, and the data you noted SHOULD be so obvious to people!...Readers, if you've been paying attention, the precious metals market is being purposely manipulated...buy the dip sell the high and repeat...I've been buying since 2016 and have not sold an ounce...Pay no attention when most of the media, most of the markets, most of the forecasters, and most of the pundits give you daily analysis of the market...It's as rigged as the elec-tion was...If you don't hold it you don't own it.

If the shops don't want inventory, the only "squeeze" is on their customers, not on the market.

Precisely. Silver is a long term hedge against inflation. It will always have some value, unlike failed fiat currency. Not sure the year or even if I'll be alive, but my kids may be able to benefit. Wild speculation in crypto is not for me. It can go pouff and you got nothing. Silver you will always have until you sell it. And it's fun to play with.

It's the crazy swings that make it interesting. David Morgan has said the silver market will scare you out or wear you out. I'm not tired, and I'm not scared.
Maybe the silver going back to the mints and refiners is going into 1,000 oz. bars and then being bought and shipped to China at $3 more per ounce. We are losing our silver..so buy while it's cheap and available.

5,000 years of wisdom: Dealers don't care about price. They always sell at a premium. They always buy at a discount. Street economics 101. Inventory, supply and demand, transportation, insurance - they've got it covered. Buy what you like. Like what you buy.
@aday1637
Ай бұрын
These are real people who rely on cash flow for their private needs like all the rest of us. If they buy at a discount when the price is high, then the price drops, they have to either sit on what they purchased with the hope it goes back up in price, or dump it for a loss. It's not straight forward like "street economics" you state.

Seeker, it was good to get to meet you today there in Tulsa. Thanks for taking the time to shake my hand and say a few pleasantries even though you were getting set up for a video. I bought 19 oz of silver back on May 29 when intra-day price hit $32.20. And yes, I bought it at exactly that time. LOL Luckily enough I was able to get it at spot. Good video as always, and thanks for not being a silver 'pusher' but instead giving us good advise in this volatile market!
I dumped some rounds today and got .75 cents under spot for it. Talking to the dealer maples, britannias and eagles aren’t commanding that much over spot in comparison to rounds. When my finances get back in order I will start stacking rounds only and leave the semis alone until I see more monetary value in buying them. Just keeping it simple.

There appears to be a huge glut of supply. The Canadian mint has stopped buying silver and anticipates not buying any for at least the next six months to a year. There is plenty of silver available for all that want to buy. Silver refiners are rumored to be paying in 30 days as opposed to cash on delivery. Rationally, silver premiums should be as low as they can go.
Hey nice thumbnail I was thinking you’re gonna find some silver in the dumpster or something😂

I went to my LCS to sell a small amount of silver (30 oz) because I needed some liquidity. Otherwise I'd be buying when I see opportunities. @@SuperDavidEF I do agree with your thinking in a strong bull market, but I think in a less stable market they are looking at the higher premiums as a safer bet... they sense the market is inevitably going up but they dont want to risk taking large losses on large inventories if they happen to be wrong, so they are positioning themselves for higher premiums.... I tend to think that China ceasing to buy gold indicates to them there is going to be a pause in this bull market until the Chinese start purchasing again.... then they will increase their inventories at that time...

Because they didn’t want to be left holding the bag when it goes lower. There will always be somebody who will be walking g into their shops to dump their stack when it goes up a little. They will offer 93% of spot price and then dump it at a profit. Don’t sell your stack and don’t buy until prices are either way lower or way higher.
So if silver is being dumped by dealers, why do they charge us so much over spot still? Same with gold. This dealer talks about 'premiums' being so low driving demand, but forgets to mention a 600$ swing up in Gold price absolutely wiping out any savings. Even then, most dealers still command upwards of 100$ over spot for 1oz of gold, yet sell to refiners under spot as soon as you sell it to them.

Very good video today, as usual. 🙂 Just got a delivery from SD Bullion this afternoon. 10 rolls of BU grade 1964 Kennedy halves. These and Morgan dollars are my favorite silver coins. In the beginning of the video you said there was a squeeze on supply Current supply is unable to keep pace with ever-increasing demand And is linked to industrial storage in anticipation of a sharp rise in silver consumption for solar panel production in India and China. For the moment, silver prices continue their consolidation phase. Despite the consecutive margin increases. Amid multi-year price peaks, silver is expected to experience its fourth straight annual supply deficit in 2024, driven by unprecedented demand for solar panels, and war .... Additionally, tightening supply conditions have reduced the gold-silver ratio, signaling heightened investor interest in silver as an alternative to gold.
I had 450 ounces in silver bars, recently said ENUF and got a nice thick 999.9 gold necklace. Now silver can do whatever it wants to do, I got an amazing necklace now that will only go up in value.

My local California dealer is buying for $2 over for silver Eagles, $1.5 below for rounds, and $1 below for foreign currency silver. $50. Below spot for gold. Is this good bad or ugly?
I'm not a huge player in the game or anything, but I just carry on as normal. I'm hoping that if I ever have to sell my metals that it's so far out, it just doesn't make sense to be overly concerned with the current prices. Sure, if Silver or Gold dips, I can buy a little more, but I'd be buying a certain dollar amount anyway, so I just try to not stress about it.

I’ve been buying mercuries. Even small amounts. Getting silver in my mailbox once a week keeps me interested in silver stacking. Watching the price everyday, feeling it in my hands, putting it into my “treasure chest”. But yes, I have slowed down a bit on the rounds trying to adapt to these new prices and uncertainty of the future pricing. I say keep stacking. I’m not stacking for profit. I’m not gonna sell. Ride out the highs and lows. It will balance out in the long run. Was hoping it would go back down to $22. But I don’t think that’s gonna happen so as new stackers, we have to adapt and learn.

Not going to happen again. The economic and financial systems are changing forever. Not to mention war and BS green energy will keep the price up

@@thereignofthezero225 if you’re right that’s fine with me as I’ll buy more but to think that silver will decline back to $25, I’m doubtful is all.
Am just a hick from the sticks with a relatively modest Morgan collection. I'm aware of spot silver prices, but don't schedule my life around it. Is biz as usual for me. If I see a fair price on a Morgan I need to fill a slot in my collection, I go for it.
Holding - mostly selling a tube tomorrow not sure witch one . No doubles tough choice
Great video, but dude, if you are going to use a handheld mic, at least make sure it is working. =P Unless it is a prop? Or screwed up on the editing?

It works fine... what are you talking about
Love SD Bullion . Great Ohio company with a connection to Michigan. Buy a lot of $ilver and a little gold from them when they have good deals. Unfortunately, they don't always. Got to shop for the deals. That being said, I got 70 oz. $ilver and a .25 oz. gold Libertad on the way from them . 😊
I’m hoping for a good dip next week.
