Bullion Dealer Reveals WORST Silver to Stack
In this video I talk to a bullion dealer about the worst type of silver to stack. If you are silver stacking or buying silver then you need to watch this video. Some types of silver coins, silver bars, and silver bullion are better than others when it comes to silver stacking. If you want to invest in silver and get the greatest returns then you need to avoid certain types of silver. I love talking to coins shop owners about silver stacking and the type of silver that are better then others. The worst silver to buy is in stark contrast to the best silver to buy. Some of the types of silver that we cover are war nickels, 40% silver half dollars, Canadian junk silver, and sterling silver. If you want so collect silver or simply have fun with silver then these silver bullion items can be ok. Also if you can pick up these silver stacking items for far below spot then you can do ok as well. Here are some more silver stacking videos below:

Well, you may be right, but... circulated old mixed year silvercoins are safer, easier to buy, sell, and barter, than made to stack coins - if you are not trading with a dealer. And do YOU generally make the money trading with a dealer? It is just a question..

Yeah exactly. This coin shop is trying to justify an unethical practice in the industry. Silver is silver and theres no reason to require higher margins on junk silver considering that margins take into account the refinery costs so all else held equal the margins should be the same for junk and bullion silver. He’s literally saying in the video that he requires higher margins on junk silver because its so hard to refine but the reality is that those costs of refinement are already baked into the margins. Even taking into account the loss on refinement for junk silver, hes making higher margins on the junk because he beats people down to a ridiculously low price

too bad the margins on the buy for sterling are way more profitable for these stores than the 1-2$ per oz on coins/rounds. they pay 70% for marked jewelry/flatware to sell to a refiner at 90% (really 95% from what ive heard). more specifically, with jewelry, business only pay more for high end brands when many 5-10 gram pieces sell for 30$+ as jewelry. yes, most of what they are saying is true any they have to turn their inventory over quickly, but many dont treat nice stuff like they do numismatics.
It's something about Harry and Adrian that I enjoy to listen to. Two of the most humble men I've ever seen. Wish I had guys like them at my lcs
Well done guys. I have some war nickels and 40% Kennedy's and Eisenhower dollars. I paid below spot for it. I'm definitely going to lay off getting any more. Thanks Silver Dragons 👊
This is exactly why I don't buy any silver unless it's at least 90%.
My brother in law called me a stacker and then said the coins "didn't do anything," so I started stacking sterling silverware and hollowware. Now I get out the fancy stuff for family get togethers. It's a noble thing to do.

I used to buy flatware but prices are too high now. I bought mine in the 80s and 90s when silver was low. I only bought the art nouveau patterns. I have kept them a long time and now might be a good time to sell my collection off, a little at a time on Ebay.

I agree with Harry regarding the old Franklin Mint. I have a 20 balboas silver coin from Panama. Its a very big coin with 3.85 ounces of silver but everything is given in grains of silver. which is weird. I knew that about sterling silver spoons.

I like buying big lots of 925 and melting them down. It's actually what got me back into Coins since childhood, an ex left her grandmothers jewelry and after 3 years of begging her to come get it, I dropped off the most valuable/sentimental things and learned how to melt silver down to convert the jewelry to exchangeable currency in small Coins and bars.

Plus transferring my money not really spending it. I’m focused on weight but love my Libertads and I did just buy the Charles coronation coin in gold, so I did pay a premium but not to bad at 560 for the British one the Libertad is slabbed and is a 70 ultra cam 2022 I got for 700 flat so not to bad but other than this gs like that sometimes it’s the lowest premium for me but I do stick o coins unless I find a frat deal for gold, silver I’ll buy bars and rounds any day.

Very relevant information for current buyers of silver. Iv'e been buying and selling from back when the Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market back in 1980. Even back then prices for war nick's, 40% and Canadian were well below 90% US when selling!

I agree with Harry on the war nickels. The loss on refining war nickels is not as bad as it would seem. When coins are refined all the metals are extracted and utilized. The sterling is a good investment, especially melted down into bars. Sterling has always historically been a bartering tool.
Great video! I feel much better about my stacking habits.

Love your videos. I have a few war nickels, but I prefer 90% junk silver dimes. Silver content is higher and they take up less space. Don't get me wrong though, I still save every war nickel I find.
