Yeong-do bridge!! that arch-shaped bridge you guys went to, was the meeting point for the families during the Korean war. My grandparents had to walk all the way down to Busan as refugees during the war from North Korea, my grand mother went there first because my grand dad had to take care of a lot of stuff.. told her to meet him at Yeong-do bridge. She took my oldest uncle and aunt, walked all the way down there and waited for my grand father every day, he eventually made it and they met after a few months. Busan was the only city that was not occupied by the communist north Korea back then so it was a temporary capital city even. Then they started selling sweet potatoes on the street in Busan, after the war moved to Seoul. That bridge always has a special meaning to me.

Whenever I hear Busan and KTX, Train to Busan always pop into my mind. It was a great movie to watch.
OMG love Busan! Haeundae Beach is THE beach in Korea. Summer hotspot and absolutely gorgeous! And don't forget, right next door there's Gwangalli Beach which is also gorgeous but has the added benefit of having a large bridge spanning the water in the background that's lit up at night. There's just something special about the ocean smell and salt air, combined with the hustle and bustle of a modern city, that makes Busan very special.

This might be the first Busan video I've seen that wasn't about the beach! Not sure how good that fried chicken was, but usually those tented vendors (called pojangmacha) aren't known for their fried chicken. They're known for pre-cooked foods under heat lamps - like gimbap, rice cakes, and blood sausages - or fresh seafood if you're near the sea. Hope you tried some "real" Korean fried chicken on your trip!

@@LisaAndJosh there are so many options, but for me, always goes with 'chicken syndrome 치킨신드롬'. You can choose hot special ban-ban(half spicy, half soy source) if you can't handle the spicy just teriyaki is amazing! Or if you want to try more classic kfc, BBQ or nene-chicken is good to go. Also recommend ban-ban(half-half: half original, half yang-nyem) it's a little spicy and sweet. 😋 All brand have different flavor so you can try whatever you want, but your little plastic chair definitely will be broken after that lol

Hello! Thank you for watching and for your comment. we noticed several people pointing this out to us as well. Maybe there was something we missed in translation. even though it makes travelling for travellers like yourselves, and even me if i went there, more challenging to visit S Korea because of the language barrier, i love that they prioritise their own language in their own country
