Looking to complete the country’s first bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad by 2026, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), which is implementing the project, is seeking indigenous technological solutions to build the infrastructure under the ‘Make-in-India’ vision.
As the construction of the bullet train project picks up, highly sensitive geotechnical monitoring instruments are being deployed to ensure the safety of civil structures and service utilities at and around the construction sites in Maharashtra for the bullet train corridor.
Construction activities are in progress for the 21 km long underground portion of the Bullet Train corridor in Mumbai and Thane districts in Maharashtra. The works include excavation for about a 1 km long and 32-meter-deep (around 10-story inverted building) underground Bullet Train station at Bandra Kurla Complex and the construction of shafts and portals for tunneling works.

The main reason was definitely the land acquisition especially in Maharashtra. The earlier Congress statr govt didn't cooperate & caused delay & escalating The cost as well.
2017 is not fair year as it took few years for land acquisition and real work started after Covid 2020

India should have focused on crowd management, ticket availability and safety standards in railways instaed of bullet trains. For fast travel air connectivity is better than bulket trains.

China mein bhi 2002 mein pehla project ka neenv rakhi gayi Wahan pe kisi ne bhi Yojana ka virodh nahi kiya (waise toh China me koi virodh ho hi nahi sakti kyun ki vo toh tanashahi hain praja prabhutva nahi) zameen adhigrahan karne ke baad neenv rakhi gayi. Yahan par poore DPR ke baad UBT ne project ke virodh mein bhi utara (sharad Pawar aur Congress ke saath) inko toh project cost ki 40% upfront commission chahiye tha na

@@dsfg12391 abe ager 2017 me kam start huva to 2024 tal to 7 sal ho gya ab railway minister bol raha 2026-27 ya 28 bhi ho sakta hai abhi 50 % kam pura huva bhi ho to baki 50% kam 2026 ,2 sal me to hona impossible hai bhai china me 5 sal me 500 km tak to bana hi leta hai . Bahut afsos ki bat hai jis project ki deadline 2022 thi vo project 5 sal dely he time and project cost bhi badh gya ab agli bar investors paise lagane ke pahle 100 bar sonega ki india ka interna politics hi project succeed hone nhi dete
