Bulleid Brilliance | Bulleid Pacifics in Action 2019

Heralded as 'The Last Giant of Steam' for his progressive and original approach to the steam locomotive, Oliver V.S. Bulleid CBE left behind a truly staggering legacy in railway preservation.
Of 140 Bulleid Pacifics built of varying types and modifications, 31 examples have eluded the cutters torch to survive into preservation. Throughout 2019, many Bulleid pacifics have taken to the rails around the UK; from the mainline to a variety of preserved railways. Showcasing a mix of Rebuilt 'Merchant Navy' Class locomotives, and light pacifics of both As-Built and Rebuilt examples, seen working a range of duties including mainline Railtours and demonstration freight sets - carrying on the legacy.

I love the Bullied Design; despite being a US railfan, these locos are some of my favorite! And I just love the 3-cylinder chuffing! Not to mention that Devon Belle Observation Car at Swanage. Wow!
The Bullied Pacifics were my favourite loco as a young train-spotter in the 60's. To see them running again is just fantastic. Great video.

Stupende Pacific! Molto ben manutenute. Complimenti per le riprese; in alcuni casi avrei ruotato la telecamera per "accompagnare" la coda del treno. Mi poor english.
34073 249 Squadron is still preserved and is acting as a donor locomotive for 34067 Tangmere and hopefully, 34073 249 Squadron will be restored to working order as soon as possible in the future

34086 219 Squadron and 21C166 Spitfire were candidates for preservation in the 60s but 21C123 Blackmoor Vale was chosen instead because of it being in better condition than 34086 and 21C166, so those two were scrapped
