I watched this video before purchasing a rope, and I feel like another detail that you need to touch up on is handle lacing, full lace and skip lacing

what's the best tail width?

It would have to depend on the size of your hand. If you have a smaller hand it's best to go with a tail that's a 3/4 size. If you have a medium or bigger hand, it's better to go with a 7/8 size. It would be the same thing with the handle

Why do some bull riders pull their rope from the opposite side of their hand?

Because it's probably a Brazilian rope. Brazilian ropes are opposite side
Well when you buy a bull rope a person needs to go ahead and purchase a wheelchair and casket because it’s likely they will need one or the other.
