The physics behind hydraulics is amazing. Oil, a piston, and a steel shaft enclosure. Add more oil to one side, and the work performed is more than imaginable. I was about to say they’re throwing everything in there but the kitchen sink…and there went the sink😂

Hydraulics revolutionzed the solid waste management industry because a load could easily be 2x to 3x what it would normally be. The first compaction truck of that kind was invented by Garwood Industries of Detroit in 1938 and it was Leach who invented the two panel packer mechansm in 1959 that most trucks use today.

Fabulous. Thank you for saving the bee. What an awesome round for collecting great material for providing magnificent munching and stupendous sounds of crushing. The hydraulic power of your truck. Really was rammed in to every cubic centimetre by the end, even the crusher had to be spun up to clear it out. Great stuff.

Yes, and they wouldn't need to do so much of that if they bought better stuff to begin with. A lot of that discarded furniture looked cheaply made. And none of that crap can be recycled - straight to the landfill it goes. Something to think about next time you go to buy furniture.

@Tiqerboy but it seems like everything we buy now is cheap. It is hard to find good furniture made in America. People budget, the economy, people have to buy what they can afford. Is there a better way to handle trash at landfills. Still we have to keep out cities clean. Bulky Crusher is doing it

I can have anywhere from 4-5 tons sometimes a lil more depending on what I pick up.. but everyday its about 4.5 tons

Well, we do have separate recycling routes as well... Most of the mattresses get recycled and are picked up by ankther driver... Electronics, Household appliances and metal are also picked up by a different driver and are recycled.. yes, you are right.. we can do better... I appreciate you stopping by and commenting truly appreciate you!
