Another great video. I think couches took 1st place 2nd place went to mattresses and wooden chairs snuck into 3rd place. It also looked the truck was packed tight with no room for anything else.

Marvellous. Clearly some of that had been left outside to fester & rot for an eternity. Again my sympathy over the stench. The neighbourhood where you work are lucky to have you on their area.

Hey, absolutely amazing, very satisfying, there were a lot of chairs being crushed today, perhaps everyone loves sitting on the floor nowadays. 11:35 was absolutely beautiful and satisfying with the 2 big plastic tubs. And that ironing board was beautifully crushed.

Does it go to landfill?

After you take this to the transfer station,and recyclables are removed,is the rest burnt or buried? Also all our vegetation is picked up by separate truck. Stay safe

It gets taken to different locations to be buried.. our vegetation is also picked up by different trucks.. we just been very short staff so we were just trying to get the trees off the streets.. next year will go back to normal I hope.. also all customers get a once a year Green waste pick up.. I hate mattresses!, they don't crush and keep falling out again!, looks like leather couches are out of fashion with the amount you crushed there!

Once it’s all dumped.. there are some Earth movers or Large Cat Wheel loaders that pushes all the items into a big pile. There is a slot underground where large 18 wheelers park their trash haulers and once they are parked under the huge holes the Earth movers push the trash into the hole and onto the big rigs underneath.. there are weight scales above the holes that let the Operators know how much they can put onto the rig.. once the weight is reached the rig moves to an outside location.. where a crane operator makes sure everything is inside the truck and not hanging over the side of the truck.. The truck driver of the transfer vehicle then closes the top of the truck with a Tarp and then proceeds to transfer the trash to 2 different landfills.. The end! 😆 Thanks for watching! @@mjhmotorsport we have dedicated E-waste, Metal, and Household Appliances recycling routes.. we also have a dedicated mattress recycling route as well! They might expand that in the near future to 2 routes..

Yes! Sometimes, strong thick Wood prevents it from crushing.. so I usually have to approach the crush differently …

What is the lifespan of a trash truck? Thanks for the video.

Usually they’re replaced after 10 years of service.. but lately they been going for about 15 depending on the condition of the truck.. the truck I use is about 13 years old..

Hey, thanks a lot! Yea it’s awesome when customers try to give me a tip.. I just have never accepted them. I figure they already pay a good amount for our services.. I’m just glad I can provide a decent service to them! And yes the homeless individual was sleeping on a mattress there soaked, it was raining hard that day.. so I gave him all I had on me which was a 20 and a bunch of lose change.. Thanks for watching!
