This is an awesome piece! Thanks for showing! I owned the Octo Solotempo for about half the price of the Finissimo (on the leather strap). And even that was a stunning piece! It was of course thicker due to another movement but it also had the unmistakable case shape as well as a comparable stunning blue dial. The Octo dials in general are next level and the overall look and finish of those watches can really compete with the much pricier competitors imho. The only reason I sold mine is that I'm more of a sports watch guy. Unfortunately the secondary market is a sad place for those watches as pretty much nobody seems to be interested in those beautiful timepieces...

Wow, I never made the connection to Falling Water! Incredible analysis! For my taste, the 40mm square case shape is too large, similar to the Santos de Cartier Large, since 40mm in a square design is roughly equivalent to a 45mm round case's area. I have large wrists as well, but it is too "contemporary" for my taste to have such a large watch, especially a square one that has an inherently avantgarde design, as opposed to a large Seiko or what have you. Top watch channel, sir!

What's the problem of going into a pool (1-2m deep presumably) with a watch with 30 Meters Water resistance? Am I missing something?
@KC-bv9kf
Жыл бұрын
The rating is static testing in a controlled and confined environment. When we swim, the pressure on the watch from hand/arm movements is greater than static pressure at 30 meters. It’s like carrying a 30 lbs weight on your shoulder vs someone dropping a 5 lb weight from 5 feet above your shoulder.

Just bought one after a four-month order awaiting period. Love it. I think it will be another legend. Thanks for your wonderful video.
