I hate that setter, and when she puts the ball to Zhu it was terrible

I feel bad for Zhu she didn't even have a chance to spike the ball when she's in front and when she's at the back she gets set but not that good.

Good choice, big star like Zhu Ting has to blend into the team again after almost 4 years, not sure about her injury, but lessen her pressure , giving her space to gradually integrate into the team with the trust of other players

Still questioning about Diao. China team has been having great setters so far, like He Qi, Zhu Yunying, Feng Kun, Song Nina, Wei Qiuyue, Ding Xia, Yao Di, but with Diao..? I’m not sure that China team can stand on a podium at Paris. She seems like an inconsistent player, one day is extremely good, another day is extremely bad. I hope this team will be able to show better performances against power houses at Paris.

Diao is underwhelming. I prefer all the previous setters of China. I think she’s the worst one out of all the setters before her. Literally, Ding Xia is on the bench for no reason. Ding Xia is far superior to Diao. This new Chinese coach is not good.

Happy to see Zhu Ting play but she seems very distant and doesn’t enjoy her volleyball much?

China needs to load their game as they're no longer the #1 Asian Team if they really want to have a slot in the up coming Paris Olympics. Quit messing around and let Zhang Changning and Ding Xia do the work. Zhu Ting is having difficulty with the current Chinese setter, as the ball passing lacks proper height and speed for her (Zhu is known for hitting the ball above the blockers).

Everybody is excited with Zhu going to play,but not her team I guess.

If you'll compare the 2016 lineup of China to this current team, Zhu ting seemed so much energetic and happy. Idk if it's an internal bickering within the team but they need to coordinate more, also the setter BARELY gives a set to Zhu, at most time she was ready to attack in the front line but rather gives it to LYY in the backrow.😓

Hate to say it but China is in danger of missing the Olympics. Definitely doesn't look like a happy team. The coaching staff needs to be fired.

This is a different Chinese womens volleyball team. They lack the fire when Lang Ping was still their coach.

What's wrong with Chinese setter. With this performance they won't be able to face stronger team. No matter what the ball went through opposite hitter. China must improve their blocking and defense. Because they have to win as many remaining matches as possible if they want to enter the 2024 VNL quarter finals and get tickets to the Paris Olympics.

VNL should increase from 16 teams to 24 teams, divided into 3 fields per week, selecting teams from the latest world ranking points and the last 5 teams that fall into the rankings to enter the qualifying system for the next year.

Another thing is that the last 5 weak teams will have to go through the selection process next year, which will definitely have competition. The more quality teams there are, the more popular volleyball will be because each country has more opportunities to rotate and experience the VNL arena. It is also related to the sports business. This is the right combination of players. Not only they have created uncertainty for the opponents as to the player who will spike, their blocks have become more effective. At the same time, Li Ying Ying will get sufficient rest.

I bet most of us here watched the video because Zhu is in the thumbnail. But they barely gave Zhu Ting a chance to attack. Nevertheless, congrats China.

I like China coz of Zhu...but she barely gets points already....

Respectfully, I disagree. Younger players can be trained and developed for the next Olympic Cycle. With Paris being a month away, the seasoned players who are familiar with elite international level play need to be ready. Zhang CN can still be very useful to this team.

Plus, I am so sad that Team China does not have any combination plays after coach Cai leads this team. They had superb combination plays like double switch moving attacks, but I couldn’t see it after Tokyo. Now they are showing very simple ways, I think it is conditional upon setter’s ability. I didn’t watch Chinese national league, Diao probably has been showing great performances in that league (that’s why Cai chose her as a starting member). I am so sad that coach Cai and Diao have been removing Team China’s unique characteristics..😢 But still supporting this team and want them to compete with power houses at Paris. Li YY looks so tired, if team China goes up to the final round, I hope Coach Cai gives her break time before Paris.

At the rate Zhu Ting is progressing is a joke. This is the VNL competition not a practise match. Cai Bin is under pressure to play her. Zhu Ting had several chances to jump and spike instead she just pushes the ball over. There are better players on the bench that can easily replace Zhu Ting. She maybe the darling of Chinese Volleyball, but her best is past, the present needs a solid spiker. It's a joke playing Zhu Ting in the VNL, it's embarrassing.
