Bukhansan 4K, The Most Hiked Mountain in the World in Seoul (full trail)

A true Korean would say you haven't truly seen Seoul or Korea if you haven't visited Bukhansan. Officially the “Most Visited National Park per Unit Area” based on the Guinness Book of World Records, it's cherished and voted as Korea's favorite mountain. Whats more surprising is that such an amazing mountain is located in the heart of Seoul, accessible by the public metro. Definitely include this in your next itinerary to Seoul Korea

We used to hike Bukhansan- when we lived in Seoul- 2002-2004. we lived about 20 minutes from the nearest trail by Yonshinae- At Bukhansan where I first tasted dandelion with bolgogi 😂 so much fun memories hiking in Korea. I remember going up the trail nearby the Palace in Jongno. -It was steep but so worth the view. Soraksan is one our favorites to hike as well. We also hiked Tebaeksan, Jirisan and hollasan in Jeju. I miss the mountains of SK.

Thanks for sharing this video. Climbing this mountain is one of the greatest memories of my life. I was climbing alone (American solo traveling) and three super awesome local gentlemen asked if I wanted to hike with them. So we hiked to the top and back down together and then they invited me to lunch at the bottom. Truly one of the best days of my life. The memories will live in me forever.

I climbed the Bukhansan back in 2014. Going down, I decided to taking a different/longer path and it started pouring. The water drenched all my gear and damaged by phone. Slipping and tripping on the rocks I hobbled to the entrance/exit when it sudden stopped raining... and that's how life goes.

Wow. I first climbed Bukhansan in 1990 (American living in Seoul). The trails were primitive (no stairs or walkways). The guide cables at the top did exist. I climbed again in 1998. One of my very favorite places in Korea. Go on a weekday in September. Not too hot; not too many crowds :)

"The Most Hiked Mountain in the World in Seoul" As a Korean myself, I highly dispute that. Koreans love making claims like that. Very few people outside of Korea have even heard of Bukhansan, let alone even hiked it. That being said, me and my wife are finally going to do this trek next weekend.

I don’t believe it as the most climbed mountain in the world. There r def many other mountains that r more popular than this, including Mt Fuji in Japan, Swiss alps, Banff, Canada, and many mountains in China
