The design is flawed. The outer wall has wide open slots. This makes it so that the secondary ring of air holes can't force air back into the rising column of flame because it all escapes out and away from the pit. No seconday burn. Thus, you have smoke.

No fire pit can be completely smokeless where absolutely no smoke is visible. I think the issue for me in the video was that it was really windy when I filmed and so the smoke was more visible plus I was using a white background. Anyway, it is a really great fire pit that we still are using to this day! Can't recommend enough!

@@TownFamilyFinds The design is flawed. The ring of ports competes with the open top for air supply. Plus, it has no path to heat the port air. 2 factors that help with secondary burn which lowers smoke.
