I drove a 2008 F450 for a while, loved that truck. When you take care of the EGTs and EGR it's a perfectly cromulent motor.

Nothing about that disaster of a motor 😂 They are fun untill ya have to fox one Need big pockets to keep one of those on the road

I have a 2010 6.4 and I love it, I do the maintenance on time if not a little early and haven’t had a problem, would definitely recommend a 6.4 to someone who’s looking for good power and reliability

And that would be the worst advice you could ever possibly give someone , trucks are timb bombs It’s a shame because they make awesome power

I have a 2008 f 250 with 430,000 miles. Still a strong ass truck. I love it.

Just bought a stock 2010 6.4 only thing on it was an intake. 130k miles. Got the mini max coming in within a couple days. Next is egr and def delete.

6.4 gang. nice to see it represented, nice truck

I agree with the statement of “take care of it and it’ll last” I have two of them one has 245k on it and the last guy let it get it all beat up but it runs great besides the oil pan gaskets leaking and that being a $3k bill that I can’t really afford right now and I can’t do it on my own without the proper tools and my other one has 139k on it and it runs great I rarely beat on it but on occasion I romp on it and race people but she has yet to let me down

@@carter.coleman I bought that one with the intent of keeping it and fixing it but after some thought I decided i wasn’t going to dump $3k into that problem with it having 245k miles and something else fuck up then I’m dumping more money into when the one I decided to keep has been perfect and only has 150k on it and I daily drive it. The only thing I’ve had to replace was a serpentine belt

Ford diesel tech here, i will definitely say theyre my favorite body style they made for the Super Duty. Thats all i can say. Theres a few ill see that are high miles on the original engine. But its so rare to see one on its original engine. Ive never seen that with any vehicle, to be almost guaranteed to put a motor in by 150k. They’re incredibly expensive to repair, even sometimes more than a 6.7. Parts are sometimes hard to find, especially cylinder heads. We had to wait months to put a set of heads on a shortblock. And id say a lot more clusterfuckery to work on when it comes to layout and getting to everything. Quality of parts for them now is pretty bad too. And man when they go, they make sure they take everything with them. And deleting the emissions wont save you from a cavitated front cover, cracked radiator tanks from the flimsy coresupport, or diluted oil from a failed fuel pump. It’s guaranteed believe me. Im sure people love their 6.4s like the people that own the ones in our shop do lol. But just cause a few people had good luck does not mean you should dig a financial hole with one. My dad had one in 08. Beautiful truck. By 32k it spun a bearing due to the truck making oil from a failed HPFP. At 45k the truck had heart rejects and the new motor threw rods 3 and 4 out the side of the block. Only vehicle anyone in my family has had to have constantly had issues. Be smart with your money.

He keep that tool box on him cause that 6.4 stay breaking down on the interstate 😭badass of a truck tho💯

Man I miss my 6.4 I loved mine I honestly want another one so bad.

Yeah I’d honestly get another one. I want to get one and frame off restore it. The motor ever blows out a Cummins in it. But I loved the 6.4
