That’s why most older WRX owners (sub 2010) will opt for the 2007 STi specific transmission. It’s got a good gear ratio and can hold the power well. Older bugeye WRX (02-03) don’t even need to swap out the rear diff.

If you look closely the turbo glows after a few shifts in the WRX. That thing is tough tough tough

Oooowheee looked like the M4 was getting squirley on the last run. I wonder if the M4 is brake boosting? The WRX gets him on the hit but they stay pretty close after that. Would love to see a rematch with the M4 getting off the hit a little better. Good runs man!

Terrifying thing here is that from a dig, the gap would have been bigger...

There aren’t many street legal cars that can touch this bug, when you have 800+whp, weigh under 3K lbs and don’t have to worry too much about traction. That CTS-V seemed to do a little better with it than this M4, which surprised me. Don’t stop trying to find something to beat AG, it’s so fun to watch.

The bugeye is very far from street legal, its essentially a race car now, not a street car, he might as well bring it on a trailer. Its kind of crossing the line of a build daily driver vs a built car for racing. That subie would be a nightmare as a daily, and one traffic stop and the cop would have a field day with it.

Don't worry. There's a few G8X M's being built currently that will makenthe Subi look like it hit the brakes. They're already running mid 9's with a few simple bolt ons, E85 and software. Congrats to the gutted fully built Subi barely taking out a stock motor M3 with full interior. Watch the last vid. M3 losing traction in turn giving the Subi a jump and once it grabs he sticks right there and starts to creeping back 😎

Good shiut! With weight difference to be expected. Quite a few f8X dailying around with that power level full interior can’t expect to gap cars with that drastic of a weight difference.
