I kinda realised that the Merdeka tower went for “quality than quantity”. They could have spent all the money to make it taller than Burj Khalifa. Instead they spent all the money making its infrastructure so unique and making the building sturdy/safe for the coming future. I do expect that there will be new megatall skyscrapers in the future, maybe not within the next decade (or even couple of decades), but it’s not human nature to say “we’ve reached a good point, let’s just leave it at that” there will always be someone innovating new materials, new construction methods and other innovations that at some point will make it economically viable to build even bigger.

It's going to be way more impressive over KL than the Burj. Dubai is a weird desert city, but KL is a crazy metropolis so it will be awesome to see such a huge tower there

Skyscrapers will continue to be built. They are iconic and often define cities and I think people gravitate to tall buildings. There is something awe-inspiring about them.
