Fit a mini toggle switch between the tone and volume wired to put the pickups in or out of phase with each other. It's a simple mod but sounds great. The Andy Summers Telecaster has it and I've done it also to a Squire Strat I built for Cameron. Twin Humbuckers. Same as yours a Seymour 59 and a JB. I've done the phase switch but also coil split on the bridge too so in effect it is a single coil if selected. I was a bit dubious that the split Humbucker would sound any good but it does. Luckily mine was the four wire version otherwise, as in your video the coil split isn't an option unfortunately.

I love the idea of a mini toggle switch to put the pickups out of phase but that might have to wait as Karl and I have more devious plans afoot for the bridge position. :-)

no brass plate on the tele pickup the bridge needs a ground.. upgrade the switch do the 50's tone control mod.. real cap.. but I'm crazy. the upside for the no ground plate you can flip the tele leads so it will be out of phase with the neck humbucker for better balance in the middle position

That's a great idea Greygland. I like the sound of that!
