That's probably one of the best sounding exhausts for a Civic I've ever heard. Normally they're all raspy, high pitched and droney.

I clicked so fast when I saw this vid pop up. the type r is by far my favorite project car you guys have done so far!

Sounds great, I like that deeper rumbling this system gives the 4 cylinder vs. the often too high brapp sounds of older systems on 4 cylinder cars.

Looking forward to watching this build series. But i have to say i am bummed you didn’t complete the exhaust upgrade with a better flowing downpipe. Something like an RV6. Yeah it would have been a little more work but then you have a full performance exhaust. Sounds great tho!

The center muffler serves as a resonator to make the car sound more quiet from the inside

The center "muffler" is the factory Helmholtz resonator from what I could see when installed my exhaust. The center exit doesn't actually pass through to it.

i really enjoy throtl but ur right, i love the long videos that go into detail, but installing a exhaust is self explanatory, building engines and shit is where it’s on to drag it on

Love the video. It was perfect. I like both styles of a longer video, but honestly like this style more. Covering one part at a time. It really makes me feel more invested in the build.

^pb blaster works wonders. Had the same issue on my wrx when I did the downpipe. Just let the nuts soak for a day then youre gucci

That exhaust pipe is pretty oxidized, mbrp should do better then that most if not all new exhaust is always shiny and polished, that look like the exhaust was sitting out in the open for too long and got oxidized

I think it would look better with 3 equal size exhaust tips
