Great job, as usual. Them snap together kits can sometimes be a bear to put together, especially when you paint them. I love the color combination. I have a Ford Fusion with that Ruby Red tinted clearcoat and I love it. Thanks for sharing your talents with us, I hope my kit comes out half as good as yours!

Thank you and good luck on your build.
I just discovered your channel because I was looking for a full build of this model kit and I've watched parts 1, 2 and 3 already and I'm really loving your presentation and style. It's a very relaxing series of videos to watch and learn, despite the huge setback that the clear coat was, but you had such a nice attitude and kept going and you gained a new subscriber for that. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much.
I picked one up at the clearance shelf at Michaels craft store. I recall some fitment issues around the exhaust system, otherwise a fun build. I removed the side glass to display the interior better. I prefer satin finishes to avoid the frustration of high gloss. I admire your courage!

Well, now I want to build another one! But yes, this thing was originally designed as a snap kit with super tight tolerance... so tight that a few coats of paint will get it out of spec.
Cool build! I just picked it up. Can't wait to build it! As for the rearview mirros, I started gluing the sport style mirrors on before painting. I hate putting them on fresh paint

Great tip. I usually leave them off as it is harder to sand the primer and cut and rub out the clear if they are installed prior to paint. After reading your suggestion though, I decided to glue them in on my current build prior to prime and paint. It does lend for a more solid mount and leaves out the potential for glue on the paint when installing after paint and clear, as you mentioned.
Turned out great!!

Thanks
It had a paint call outs with the assembly instructions so must have been designed to be painted

That is true.
The paint looks amazing. Can you tell me more about that tool that you used for the polishing of the paint? What brand? Collet size? 3/8 or 1/4. Variable speed? Where did you get it? Amazon? Thanks
