I think it's funny when people mention strikers playing defense in Blue Lock, because when I joined a soccer team at the start of middle school the forwards were the only good players on the entire team so a lot of the time they were also playing defense lmao. They were insanely good for our league, we didn't lose a single game and most games we spent the entire time in the opposition's half. Our goalie straight up playing pokemon on his nintendo ds during one of the games because he was so bored.

Sometimes he's CF sometimes he goes back to CAM to provide his left and right wing. Kunigami will be posted as defensive midfielder, his main job is to do man to man defend the most problematic opponent in the enemy's team, while Kunigami doing some distractions, Niko will have time to predict which types of mechanics they're trying to pull. For Isagi, since it's false 9, his main focus is to put chaos on the final third with his off-ball movement. His main job is to have stamina to lure the enemy moving towards him and leave their position so that Barou and Rin including the midfielders got lots of openings. But when the opponent makes a false move, that's when the midfielders can lob pass to him for him to finish it.

I still don't believe Sae would come, unless there are new things in the new chapters, i still think he wouldn't come. Since they are promised to be the 23 members for this. Since Sae doesn't come to NEL, it will be unfair for the players in NEL. Think of it, Sae will be CAM, look at how many people will be affected: Reo, Hiori, Kurona, Otoya, Yukimiya and many more...

Plot wise, he's also some of the main deuteragonists, just like Bachira and Chigiri, part of the main casts. It will be delusional to think his story would end here when he got that high amount of salary while at the same time got assist point just so recently.

My pov on the topic is that there isn’t one set formation for example I think ego will be testing out formations in the WC qualifiers and during the WC he will be starting different players depending on the team they are facing also it depends on the formation for example 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 or 3-3-4 or 5-4-1 or 5-3-1-1 or 3-5-2 also i do think isagi will adopt a CAM shadow striker type play style or a CF False 9 style while helping his teammates with his playmaking and scoring with his positioning kinda like how messi does but obv not as technically gifted

Not sure if you know a lot about football but LCB are usually right footers like me and RCB are usually left footers, but it doesn't really matters much tbh, just pointing out that Aiku is in the right position as a LCB in the manga, tbh he could probably even play as a left back if he is right footed but I don't really recommend putting him on the right. This is also the case for footballers such as messi who is Left footed but plays on the right and Ronaldo who is right footed and plays on the left. Just because you're a right footer it doesn't mean you play on the right, it's more preferred to play on the opposite side

Karasu could also move up and be a playmaker and passing mid and open up space for hiori like he is doing for Charles in the current chapter and he opened up space for hiori before in the U-20 match

The only things I would change are: makenit a 4-2-4 (essentially just get rid of the DM and tranform him into CM), put Isagi at CM and Shidou at ST (also, having Barou or Rin as LW doesn't really matter to me: both bring different things. Rin brings a more calculated and cold style of play, while Barou's runs while off-ball and also his 1v1s would bring incredible scoring opportunities. Also, both can shoot from far away and are great at it. So having one or the other there doesn't really matter to me).

I think he will play for Japan cuz of Isagi, Shidou and rin) RCam(Cam but staggered to the left): Isagi (He’s the MC) Lw: Shidou (For the chem reaction w/ Sae and just ovr being a demon) Rw: Rin (The MC’s rival, the dynamic with Sae and Shidou, and him being the best goddam player in bl) St: Barou (Best U20 st as stated by snuffy, predator eye and villainous soccer) Subs are: Fukaku Aryu Tokimitsu Zantetsu Raichi Kurona Hiori Sendou Otoya Yukimiya Reo Nagi Kunigami

Sae will probably show up for the U-20 just like the previous time and take hioris spot because sae doesn’t really have another nation to play for in the u-20 World Cup and there is no way a new gen 11 would miss out on a WC level championship.

My formation would be a 4-2-3-1 Gk-Gagamura Dfs- Kiyora, Aiku, aryu, kurona Cdms- Karusu, Raichi/tokimotsu Wide Mfs- Rin, Isagi Cam- Sae/hiori Striker-Barou Yukimaya is a left back that is wasting him,he should be on the wing terrorizing defences and depending on the team they are playing if it is to change tactics swopt karusa out for tokimotsu to have two workhorses at cdm

4-1-1-4 is a formation I have never seen in my lifetime and I doubt it will ever work

It’s normally because you don’t want defenders passing across goal so if ur on the left and ur left footed u can pass with ur strong foot and it not being across goal

i would've put raichi cdm tbh. any blue lock XI is bound to be very offensive, so having a strong defensive focused CDM is very important.

my starting positions: this will be a really unbalanced striker focused positions. forwards: left wing forward: barou right wing forward: bachira right forward striker: isagi left forward striker: nagi These four works well with each other really well, isagi , nagi, and bachira was the og trio. and basically only isagi understands barou and can use him. midfielders: attacking midfielders: rin left midfielder: reo right midfielder: hiori Rin is basically an attacker in this position, and he can shoot from really far back , so he is midfielder. reo works well with nagi and hiyori works well with isagi. Reo and hiyori have both shown good defensive skills, and can drop back if needed. fullbacks: left wingback: chigiri centre fullback: aryu right wing back: niko. Chigiri can run the ball up when he gets the ball, he is really fast. Aryu is op, and niko also has meta vision. goals: gagimaru

It wouldnt make sense to not have the mc play, especially when he has shown that he is more than capable of performing, but just imagine if they made Isagi (and also Rin, Barou, and any other high performer) sit out during some sort of final test of the NEL. Like as a way to see how the team would function without them and see who actually qualifies.

Man, I feel sorry for Hiori. He's basically a watered down version of Sae, much too similar, so I can't see him starting over Sae in that position.

without a question, isagi should polish the two gun volley but having nagi as a striker with an absolute weapon might be a no, no for me? i can't even put nagi in the rooster or on my top eleven! Yes he has a good trapping skill as a striker nope he is not good! he just show off everytime and does reproduce the goals so as a striker or center forward it is a big no!

Few things Isagi won’t be able to better other people if he’s a CF He will be more focused on scoring hence why I’d rather have rin CF, Barou LW, bachira RW and isagi CAM That way isagi can attack/defend and better other people without worrying about being out positioned Also based on plot, nagi would probably make his way into the team and your statement that he needs Reo to bring out his best is technically false as in reality he just needs any good midfielder who understands him like isagi (hence why id put isagi midfielder but obviously for plot reasons he will be a striker at some point

Yo, the lineup was looking awesome until Barou was made the right winger. That's insane for the fact that he's a CF that ensures that the entire team bows to him. No way is he getting the CF role to Isagi. Also, Isagi been CF is good but we know that for now he better as either the CAM or right winger, he creates chances and started scoring more recently. Yes, I know the story is developing him to be the striker but until then, he's not the overall top striker in blue lock. And then Rin, placing Rin and Isagi together is like pure chaos, yes they've played together but in real situations, their clashing for the ball and team control would cause problems on the pitch. Rin is an awesome pick for the position he's placed in.

Could someone make a starting 11 made up of people that Isagi has chemical reactions/form strategies and gets along with (within the Japanese players of Blue Lock)? Atm I sort-of have one but I kinda had to cheat with 1 position for CB since he doesn’t really get along with Isagi but he’s attached to Nagi (Mikage) What I have is: Goalie (1): Gagamaru Fullbacks (2 & 3): Chigiri & Ranze respectively Centerbacks (4 & 5): Kunigami & Mikage respectively Center Mids (6, 8, 10): Jingo (6 CDM/CM), Hiori (8 CM/CDM), Nagi (10 CM/CAM) Wingers (7 & 11): Nijiro & Bachira respectively Striker/Center Forward (9): Isagi I suppose Baro could be a sub since he has been in team with Isagi and Isagi has formed plans with Baro involved, didn’t put him in starting since his relationship to Isagi is antagonistic on the field. I would also possibly put Aiku & Ikko in as subs for CBs. I didn’t put them in starting since Aiku didn’t play with Isagi in a team while Ikko, while getting along with Isagi, hasn’t been a part of Isagi’s strats yet or directly helped Isagi in any way (that I know of)

Yeah, that reason is that he didn't have to contend for a spot with Aiku. 2 cb spots, 3 players, Niko just isn't as developed as Aiku, and neither have Aryu's height
