Looking good, I can't wait to see the rest in part 2. I've got this kit in my stash and was thinking of starting it soon, so this is a timely video. I'll be watching again when I start it. If it's not too late, one thing I'll point out that most people get wrong on Corsair builds is the camouflage. It wasn't a 3 color scheme it was 4 colors. Insignia white, intermediate blue, non specular sea blue, and glossy sea blue. The 2 sea blues were not simply a gloss, and flat (matte) version. The glossy sea blue is actually a different color that has different hues than the flat version. As far as I'm aware, only one model paint brand makes all these colors accurately, and that's Colourcoats, a small British company. They're kinda hard to get, (especially in North America) and they're also enamel. I'm going to be using them on the Magic Factory build, as well as on the Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1a I've got in the stash.

Beautiful kit! Magic Factory have taken the Corsair to a new level. Definitely the best on the market now!

This is the most gorgeous F-4U I've seen in a while. those ammunition belts look amazing.

Boy the details on the cockpit is outstanding. This takes modeling to the beyond making it so real. Wish I could afford one of these kits,but anyhow nice build on the cockpit and can't wait to see the results of the whole model. Great job my friend....😊

It takes some practice... we are naturally drawn to exaggarate the wethering IMO

Maybe brush painting would be easier but I don't have the colors for that.

Truly stunning attention to authenticity, I learn so much from watching your work.

I find it very interesting how the oil paints are used, never thought about using them for things like dry brushing. Though you show the kit off very well! Definitely on my wishlist now

I got to see the Birdcage Corsair that they have been working on at Pensacola and I can say that the interior colors are spot on for what they did. Your build looks very nice and almost has me persuaded to get one. I saw the built up test shots at the IPMS Nationals last year in San Marcos and was impressed with what I saw, even though I am more partial to the F6F Hellcat!

Built it late last year when it came out - it's excellent - can't wait to get the 2nd one done... seems we agree, complex but great (I actually used the 1/32 Tamiya instructions as the break down is very similar! not a bad thing)

Wow, just wow, the cockpit looks so damn real, excellent workmanship. Using your guide, I can now get the best out of my corsair. Thanks . I wish you would at some point do the fine molds F-4 phantom an excellent kit except for the stencils which silver real bad and no matter which decal solution I use won't bed them down. But, I bet you would have a solution, cheers.
