What if you built Dukette her own home somewhere? Maybe a place she would rather stay. She would go there instead of your den and also keep her safe! I’m sure there’s something cool you could come up with, maybe even bury it with a little tunnel entrance and viewing port

Thanks for fixing the Tyvex corner, it was driving me crazy blowing in the wind. You’re going to be so happy with that kitchen window. I think you’ll feel the same way if you add one more to the no window wall. If you found a “cheap” tall, long, skinny window up by the corner by the front wall of glass….it would look cool and almost like you wrapped the corner in windows.

This made my day, great to see you back out there. Hope the elbow is holding up okay. Keep on keeping on!

I would tape the top edge of Tyvek above new window, so wind-blown rain can't get behind it before you add more Tyvek above.

A little late but they sell a cap hammer tacker I believe the brand is stinger for siding and roofing paper. Much faster than nailing cap nails.

I too love animals and would really (truly) struggle with the decision of what to do if a rat had decided to move into my space. Although Duke isn’t encroaching on the toilet area proper, any longer, maybe a solution would be to make a little house for her away from the cabin and relocate her and the family. I worry that the whole family might decide to move in…to your cabin, outhouse, etc. and before you know it, you’ve got an infestation. It’s a dilemma, to be sure.

Couple of thoughts… I could not tolerate Duke anywhere near me while doing my business in the den, she he/she has got to go! Second thought, you’ll never regret a bigger deck on the front. I would go 12 ft out along the front. Short term pain for long term gain!! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
