Building the most capable Jeeps - Build Walkthrough

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We recently wrapped up two of the most ambitious builds to come out of the garage. Introducing Rock Hound and Yukon Jack, two LS3 swapped JKUs built to handle all things off road. Using only the best components available, these Jeeps are race ready while maintaining the ability to be street driven. Nic covers everything these two builds are made of in this episode.

Definitely $100K+ builds. I’d love to be able to afford one of those. The brakes are honesty what blows me away the most. 4 and 6 piston! Insane!

Any chance you guys have a build sheet on where to start these types of builds for the DIY. Like what to start first and then move on from there. I want to start a new JKU build and th lining im going to start with the axels and suspension. Just don’t want to waist time and money, so anything you can advise on would be great.

Not using the 6l80 is silly, going from 4 to 6 gears will blow ur mind! And the competition!

Would you be willing to share the axle and atlas gear ratios used? Also, what RPM stall converters were used?

Have you found that the genright boatside rockers hold up to the abuse? Ive seen with other manufacturers of boatside rockers that if you tale hard hits to the rear of the rocker it can fold or bend the body of the jeep. I have the poison spyder frame mounted sliders and have bent them, reinforced them and bent them again 😅. They also hang a little low for my liking. What are your thoughts on the genrights?

Might be a stupid question, but what’s better off road? The 2 or 4 door. I see mostly 4 door.

It's just a funny name we gave him, Mitch couldn't be a more humble guy so we liked to tease him that his Jeep and driving were quickly becoming famous, so the name stuck. Thanks for watching we're glad you're enjoying the videos!

@@RockstarGarage Thanks for the reply, you videos are a great enjoyment for many reasons: I'd like to be with you in those trails, but unfortunately I live in Italy, wonderful country, but totally against offroad... every week I go with my Trial bike I risk some fine/mulct; I have a Jimny and recently bought an old LandRover but is not easy finding nice areas to drive offroad; for these reasons I added a new passion with RC 1/10 Crawlers for having long walking trips with my friends... and we live the same situation you report in you nice videos... scaled 1/10..😄, another funny hobby to live in nature without any restriction even here in Italy (luckily). Thanks for sharing your passion!

I think that with all “parts” they have their limits. I know that the rockers shown here are still working great for one of the Jeeps where as Mitch is using a newer weld on rocker because the ones here couldn’t stand the abuse anymore of his driving style
