Thanks for the servo answer. I’d like to see more explanation on how to use a laser. Great builder.

I definitely agree with the bolts, the wire stretches and get slop after time.

Just finished the build and tune today. I have about a million more hours of footage. I will try and squeeze that into the maiden vid for you. Otherwise now that the build is done I will start pumping out the vids. Other wise go to my Just Plane Crazy FB page. I will post a couple pics for you

Just thinking maybe you should have painted the cabane tubes before you closed the mounting holes with bondo. I have a Hangar 9 Pitts S2B and the cabane is painted red the same color as the covering and looks super sharp.

I don’t disagree at all. I thought the same thing. This plane will be covered and painted so it won’t be as easy but the goal is to still paint them with the covering

just curious and im sure you did it but did you check and set the final incidence between the two wings ,l have been flying rc bipes for 50 years and that alone the incidence, can really make a huge difference in the way it flys.If you are not sure a good rule of thumb is bottom wing 0 degrees, top wing one half degree negitive to 0 degrees but never positive built alot of bipes hopes this helps

Carbon fiber seems to be a good idea for the motorbox, but it is not! Carbon fiber will block radio signals. In case of flying toward the radio system/pilot could result in total loss of the radio signal. Especially if all receiver antennas are in the shadow of the carbon fiber in relation to the transmitter antenna in this situation.

Many planes are fully constructed of carbon. I have no worries about the motor box. Range tests prior to flight will also verify this. This plane will be running dual receivers with 900 MHz backup. I have zero concern. I also place all antennas at different attitudes and levels.

@JustPlaneCrazy the fully carbon constructed airplanes have the antennas always outside(!) the Fuselage. By exactly that reasson. If you arrange your receiver antennas with more distance than the size of the motor box, I'll think you'll never have any problems because at least one antenna will always have clearly "electrical view" to the transmitter. But you have to keep in mind that closed carbon areas will block radio signals. This is not a hoax, it is real.
