In the UK the type of roof you are talking about is called a hip roof, these roofs look amazing but there are an awful lot of awkward cuts on the spars as well as the tiles , good luck !!!

Got to be the best line ever, 'Some Japanese woodworker is going to have a heart attack', I nearly drowned in my coffee. 😂😂 Always used old engine oil on timber below ground or just above, used to mix a little bit of paraffin in with it lasted for year's, now of course they treat it with arsenic not sure which ones worse. 😂 Lovely build Ants, think you're definitely going to be in Super Mum's good books for a long time. Good seeing her riding her mower again, please pass on best wishes from the UK contingent. 👍

That gazebo has more hurricane straps than whole house in FL, can probably with stand cat 5 storm, supper mom should be very happy, good son. nice build.

The corners of the platform are hanging from 8 of those gal screws. They should have some significant bolts through the posts as everything else hangs from them. Next time would be good to have the non cut sides of the post inside so the beams would sit on the 6 mm steel. Or weld a ledge to the steel so each beam is not hanging on thin screws.

What an awesome job and such a great addition to compliment supermoms garden scene. The only thing I was disappointed about is that we never got to see supermoms reaction to it, she must think her son is so clever. I have never heard of anyone working as hard as you do. If you were contracted to build anything for individuals or governments, it would last at least 100 years or until a direct earthquake comes along. I'm not even sure an earthquake would make a difference. A volcano might bury it but it would not fail. Best wishes from Houston.

Well Hello Andris, I have been on vacation so I have been playing catch up on your videos. You sir are one busy man and super mom is keeping you on your toes . Yeah we hate mosquitoes too we call them muskytoes just for fun lol. They are calling for the 90’s here three days of it with heat index of 112 degrees. And humid. Super mom is going to love her new shaded area and it comes with rain gutters to catch the rain and electricity and running water that is going to save her so much time while she works in the garden. And a place to put a chair and rest in the shade. You are so amazing and an awesome son. Have a great weekend and week.
