So sick! Another thing to think about is utility lines will sometimes be buried under sidewalks or on the side of roads. If anyone is thinking about doing this, either don't dig deep or be extra cautious because these lines aren't always marked
Keep building Dowdy!!! 🤟🏽🛹
Your DIY videos are my favourite. No shame in saving the trick for another time when you are feeling more confident. Maybe film a “road to pole jam” video where you build up to it using smaller ones and then go back to the one you built for redemption.
If it does break you can always back up your car into the yellow pole. Or just send it for the double jam!!! 🎉 love the vids man, love from the uk, you got me into diy spots!!!! ❤
The Dowdy Nuzzi plan is sooo chill and cool. Love it.
Zack, This is street art. As with all artists, your work is always a work in progress. Only you can perceive the imperfections. Therefore, you’ve done well. As I’ve mentioned before, people can talk endlessly, but until they create something of their own, it’s just idle chatter.
Thanks for posting this, skateboarders often forget that making new spots for skateboarding is as important as learning new tricks, especially when making new spots are unlocking new tricks. The least that I can do here in China is to carry a rub brick and wax in my backpack to unlock some places in my neighborhood and around my area. Surely whole crew can do much more.
Keep it up Dowdy, you inspire all of us to DIY stuff. Ericks polejam to TV was dope af

Commenting for the algorithm, love your videos Zack
no let down at all man, pole jams are scary af i think! lol awesome vid though, the diy stuff is a lot of fun to watch. what was the crack filler that you used at the front of the pole? looks very easy with a caulk gun and little clean up

Very cool spot. Can’t wait to see you get the clip. Great video !
I‘ll now build my first diy! Thanks 🙏
Love these videos homie!
Dowdy you get down hommie thanks for spreading the Freshness and Stoke 👊
That spot is killer
Wheres big Al been??? Havent seen you two together in a minute. You guys always had sick sessions together!!
I think concrete will crack less when poured thicker. As in digging out more earth to make pour at least 4 inches thick.
this is one of the best spots you've made. it sounds really cool and solid when you're hitting it and since all anyone can really do on a polejam is clear it, it makes sense for it to be a challenge.

Thank you 🎉
The pole jam is more sturdy than I expected. Super cool
Awesome. See now tho, youre gonna have to do more of these make diy spots vids cause u can obviously see in comments that we really dig them. Thx
So cool
actually amazing to leave this on a cliffhanger lol. can't wait to see the make! you got it
Yeah, It's kinda steep.. Totally agree..🤔The angle towards the top could use be a bit lowering, which obviously would allow better or atleast more flow off & onto the pavement..🙂
Love the diy vids so much, keep up the good fight!!!
Great man
great vid!
Great video. I was also wondering why you didn’t dig a little for the back part, I understand it would make it more mellow, but more sturdy. Good job at knowing your limits too, skaters often struggle with letting go of a trick after trying for so long, the problem is you’ll be tired, therefore you’re more prone to injury, which is not good for your skating.
Dang it Dowdy! 😂
That happened with a rail I built, my friend told me the height to make it and said it would be easy. Turns out he was wrong and we both were not ready for it and i had to lower it lol
huuge respect!
Decent Pole jam spot!!! #jamSesh
nice broo! subbing!
Homie, put a tight mesh in the crete to avoid the cracking and splitting
Love this shit dude! Peak content
Saw this on ig!
Ooookay, I’ll start building some DIYs too.

Do it!
What’s the name of that tube of white/blue stuff you used to patch the crack in the run up?
best vids
I've never found a good pole jam or done one but with that said seems like The technique would be act like you're jumping over the pole instead of riding up it and let the pole push the board up onto your feet. It's always seemed to me like it's more of a wallie than a grind. But again this is advice from somebody who's never done the trick and I'm aware there's a stereotype about that person

Could you not bend that yellow pole into a pole jam?
@mikayla_collie
3 ай бұрын
sure, if you hit it with your car, maybe. 😅 also, im pretty sure Zack doesn't like blatantly destroying property. adding something you brought yourself is a bit different than breaking stuff that is already there so you can skate it. not to mention, that those yellow safety/barrier poles are usually filled with concrete, and are not always hollow. but yes, if that pole were leaning, it would be a good pole jam.
