Wow. All I can say really. Loot artists/sculptors are just incredibly talented.
Wonder if any will make the Harpy in 75mm scale lol 😉 that would be massive! Top notch job loot, can't even begin to imagine how long it took you all to make it!

Love the ship. its the reason I have to upgrade my printing skill. great work on the model and fantastic painting. I'm thinking 75mm so I can sail it myself..
New to the world of minis and painting. This is by far one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
incrível, parabéns pelo trabalho
é a peça mais épica que ja vi em toda a minha vida.
Love videos like this would love to see painting of compass and I hope the next month has props it’s a huge selling point for me
Awesome project! Congratulations! 😱👏👏👏
Also would love to see some I. Depth painting tutorials that would be cool I know you brush over them in the videos (no pun intended) but I would love in depth look at the painting and skills
This ship is why I subscribed.
Wonderful work by the LOOT team! I now need to make this a priority myself. :)

This is the set I pulled the trigger on as well. They had this on the Fantasy side, and a sci-fi inspired by Dune, yeah, there was no way I wasn't walking away with those.
fantastic work . Is it possible to make a tutorial video of how you painted the ship that would be great>?
great ship
Welp, need to make this happen for our D20 Tabletop Cruise, it's just too cool. Nice work Loot! Do you guys have any Spelljammer type air (space?) ships? We are likely going to have the Spelljammer Adventure League season live by our sailing and would love to do something special for that with a large spelljammer ship showcase in the conference center aboard the cruise ship :)

What glue did you use for the seams between layer parts?
Hi, on your paint list you don mention the brand for the "sand" and "golden brown". It also looks like several other paints are missing. Can you help me please? I love the color of the deck in particular!
Gorgeous model and one day i will print and assemble it. Should ALL be done with Resin or is it worth printing the larger pieces with a standard 3d printer?

We print with resin only. But some members use FDM for the larger pieces.

What size resin printer is needed for the largest parts?

The versions we have available of the ship are: -Smaller format resin printer version (Cut and supported. If your printer has a print area of 134 × 75 × 130 mm or larger you will also be good to go) -Big resin printer version (supported version for printers with a printing area of 192 x 120 x 200 mm or larger) -UNCUT version (no cuts to fit a print bed but still separate decks) -FDM version (Unsupported)
I've only got a little Elegoo Mars; this thing both excites and intimidates me :D It's sooo beautiful, but just the base alone is a job for the whole weekend

Hi! We've provided a version with more cuts for smaller printers
@SilentSooYun
2 жыл бұрын
@@LootStudios Which I certainly appreciate! It's the time involved, though, that is most intimidating: I spent an evening plating up the various (pre-supported, THANK YOU!!) cuts, combining where I could, and still ended up with around 90 plates. At 6-7 hours per plate, that's almost 30 days of non-stop printing! This is not a complaint, mind, I'm just saying that printing and building this amazing ship on my single, little old Mars is going to be a very challenging, long-term project :)
@gertondesk
Жыл бұрын
@@SilentSooYun Hey, did you ever finish this? I'm about 15 prints in, and my resin cost estimates were way too optimistic hahaha
@SilentSooYun
Жыл бұрын
@@gertondesk I'm afraid I ended up doing a third-scale version for display... after first upgrading to a Mars2 Pro, which already cut down my time estimates *significantly* If I were to do a play-scale version, I think I would just do the detail bits of the upper decks and make the lower decks and rigging from standard craft materials like foamboard and balsa. Not only is it faster, stronger, and lighter, it keeps the resin cost well under triple-digits. In my honest opinion, something like this is only worth doing in resin if it's going to be used as a centerpiece throughout the entire campaign... like Spelljammer :)
@dragonkinfolk
Жыл бұрын
@@SilentSooYun I have an anycubic mono and packing each plate with as many that would fit took me about 60 runs at an average of 8-9 hours per run. and it took AT LEAST 5KG of resin
I don't see any swivel guns/patarero mounted on the railings, also needs some chase guns on the bow and stern.

I printed on fdm except for the stairs and sails. The railing was tricky to get right on fdm but pulled it off. Also ended up breaking a few of the spikes. just removing them all and smoothed it out.

Yes, and we even provide specific cuts for FDM printing!
That ship is massive and beautiful. I can DM my address if you need it.
Anno 2023 I am building this ship, and with a small printer, I am a month in now. And for any aspirering ship builders.... it is a b*tch to piece together. A lot of filing down of pieces. And I mean aaa lot of filing. This is not Loot Studios fault or problem though. It is inherant of 3D printing. The only gripe I have is: Please, for the love of god, place the aligning pegs on the non supported side from now on. I had to file down so many aligning pegs just to get the supported side straight. That said... yes you can build this beautiful ship on the smaller printers but I would seriously advise this project to big printers for sure. If you are printing on a smaller printer... adjust your expectations drastically on seems and fit.
Is it me, or the pieces doesn t fit well together ?
