Thanks for the video. I bought an 80gb 5.5 gen for the 64mb of ram and it it has a fat backplate. Can I change the fat backplate to a thin backplate to be able to use the 3800 thin battery? EOE says thin battery only works with thin backplate.

Thanks for the comment! I used a thin backplate with the 3800mAh battery, there is slight bulging as shown in the video. Not sure if it will affect the integrity of the battery in the long run, but it will fit. Hope this helps!

There are lots of videos on KZread on how to install and upgrade the hardware but very few videos that actually test the upgrades. Could you make a video that actually tests the performance of the hardware? You upgraded to a 3800 mAh battery but how does the charge life compare to the 3000 mAh? Could you do a time lapse video testing out the battery life? Thanks.

Thanks for the comment! If your computers were able to recognize the iPod before modding, I would try formatting your SD card(s) by following the iFlash formatting guide, that might solve some of the compatibility issues. Hope this helps!

@@iamalexsun unfortunately this is first time I’m connecting it to my PCs. I bought the iPod secondhand and wanted to restore it before modding. Doesn’t seem like a very common problem, can’t find much help on the internet 🥲
