Building my very first custom mechanical keyboard!
Ғылым және технология
Thank you for watching my video!
There's a few things that I don't like about how this board turned out, but overall I'm very happy with my first build!
EDIT: I forgot to film it but I did lube the stabs with the same 205g0 and some dielectric grease.
Switches: Gateron Ink Black
Lube: Krytox 205g0
PCB: DZ60
Stabs: Zeal PC gold plated screw in
Plate: KBDfans full bronze
Case: KBDfans Tofu 60%
Keycaps: MAXKEY SA Miami Nights
I went with Gateron ink blacks because I really like linear's for gaming, and I like heavier switches, but I'll probably end up building another board in the future with some Box Navies at some point cause I luv me them clickies.

Overlubed switches, been there man. Learn to love them because it’s pretty annoying to clean. Nice build though! Looks awesome.

What do u mean exactly with overlubed switches what do hate about it? Is it the inconsistency? And where does he make a mistake from your perspective while lubing acording to your opionion.

@@jenkmeier2406 Overlubed switches tend to feel mushy. The Tealios V2s are already *very* smooth when stock so a much lighter application of lube would've been better and sounded better too. By using too much lube the keypresses won't feel as sharp and responsive. The return would also feel sluggish and slow. It's very subtle but it's definitely noticeable.

But the benefit is you get a slightly more dampened sound. Lol not worth though I overlubed my first tactiles

@@imoscared If you want dampened sound, just go for silent switches lol

8:11 I just wanna know if you clean up the flux before installing them. If you have not, please do yourself a favor with isopropyl alcohol so that the flux won't eat into your board when it gets old. Cheers
That sigh after you finished lubing haha. I feel you.
Lol I got sad when you put the electric screwdriver away in the beginning, I need one of those. Nice clean setup though and great time lapse, thank you! Would love to see this board featured on my show CKC
That solder be **thicc**
Sounds and looks very good
Damn man you really over lubed those switches but congrats on the board and that space bar sounds anazing
That solder was really thick!. If you use one that is much thinner in diameter, its harder to over do it
i LOVE this layout, im not sure if it has a specific name? but a 60% with an arrow cluster, and the bottom right grid of 10 1x1's. looks so clean.
damn u got those keycaps clean
You have got to fix those solders for the longevity of the boards sake
I see those solder balls, thats gonna be heckin bad to desolder once you decide to change switches, idk if you put foam in the bottom to have a muted sound or not?, but i saw the bandaid mod though, with electric tape? nice!
This is sick. try posting this video to the mechanical keyboard subreddit.

This would not end well hahah
That’s a very good first build, but I find that the keys are *slightly* overlubed. They still sound soothing though...
Song? Great vid btw🙃
Nice build. I dented and scratched my tofu case lol.

fable animations I’m not sure I woke up one day and thought a piece of dirt was stuck on it so I tried scratching it off and it was actually a dent so I scratched the anodization off and now there is a scratch and a dent

What colour Tofu is that?
Clean of the Flux next Time. I think everybody had to work with overlubed switches, you know better next time :) nice Video
Everyone and their armchair switch lubing expertise 💀
You overlubed those switches. There is no need to dip into the lube for every single side of the stem
Dang dude for the board, go back and clean the flux and switches, went way too hard on the lube there, I would re do it
SA THOCK
you should wearing mask while soldering because the smoke from soldered iron is really bad and harmful, anyway your video is awesome :))
That was waaaay too much lube. Also, consider buying thinner solder, it could help your board last longer
Wet
EWWWW why did he over lube the switches so much. He ruined the inks so much. CRINGE😣

Lmao why u hating? It’s legit his first build cut him some slack and give some advice, instead of being a condescending piece of shit
