Building my own DUAL TRiANGLUATED Crossmember for my Jeep

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

a few years ago this was the standard of building offroad rigs. Now, if you search dual triangulated on google, the only thing that comes up is a certain companies product. RIP to the good build threads.

Glad you check those bolts before welding on the link mounts. I was nervous 😬 it wasn’t going to work.

Grinding and cutting metal is some of the nastiest work I have done. It gets everywhere.

A worn out .030 tip will probably feed .035, if not stick an .035 wire drill in it. FYI the skid plate AKA shovel is the trans/Tcase cross member also. Support the trans before you drop the skid.

I've had my transfer case out a few times slides back like 3 or 4 inches If I remember correctly. But yeah once you clear the transmission output shaft it can tilt and slide out

Chris, I ordered the same back half kit from Motobilt and was curious what shock towers you are planning to run? I'll have a 14 bolt in the rear and am planning on coilovers as well and was curious how you are planning to do yours. Love the videos and the Jeep. Minus the JK axles mine will be EXACT to yours. Nice work.

Why not mount custom cross member above output shaft? Keep up the hard awesome work!

There’s not enough room with the radiator hoses and the cooling fan
